摘要： A filling valve apparatus for filling a container with a fluid. The apparatus includes a body portion and a stem. A sleeve is disposed over the stem and is removable from the stem and the body portion when the filling valve apparatus is serviced. A seal is mounted to the bottom of the sleeve. At least one component is movably connected to the sleeve and remains connected to the sleeve when the sleeve is removed from the stem and the body portion during the servicing of the filling valve apparatus. Similarly, a valve assembly, having a housing and a movable plunger is removable from the body portion. At least one member is mechanically connected to one of the housing and plunger for creating a unitary valve assembly that remains intact when the valve assembly is removed from the body portion during servicing of the filling valve apparatus.

摘要： A firearm includes a receiver and a bolt carrier disposed in the receiver. The bolt carrier is moveable between a firing position and a rearward position. A rod is fixed relative to the bolt carrier and a hand guard is coupled to the receiver about the rod. A handle assembly is slideably supported by the hand guard and is moveable toward the receiver to define a charging motion and away from the receiver to define a forward assist motion. The handle assembly receives the rod during both of the charging and forward assist motions. An arm is coupled to the base and is moveable between a disengaged position spaced from the rod and an engaged position abutting the rod. When the arm is in the engaged position, the handle assembly is moved to move the rod and the bolt carrier in either of the charging and the forward assist motions.

摘要： A capping device fits caps onto containers by applying an axial force to the caps as they are threaded onto the containers. The capping device utilizes a spindle rotatable about an operational axis for imparting rotation to a capper unit. A connector coupled to the capper unit is releasably coupled to the spindle by a quick release mechanism. The quick release mechanism is normally biased in the locked position and is configured to automatically move from the unlocked position back to the locked position when the connector mates with the spindle as a user re-connects the capping unit back to the spindle. Methods of releasing and re-connecting the capping unit to the spindle are also disclosed.

摘要： A capping device fits caps onto containers by applying an axial force to the caps as they are threaded onto the containers. The capping device utilizes a drive member rotatable about an operational axis for imparting rotation to a capper body slidably coupled to the drive member. A helical spring urges the capper body away from the drive member with a biasing force. An adjustment mechanism adjusts the biasing force thereby adjusting the axial force applied to the caps as they are threaded onto the containers. A pair of retaining pins move between a latched position to prevent adjustment of the biasing force and an unlatched position to allow adjustment of the biasing force. The retaining pins are biased in the latched position to prevent inadvertent adjustment of the biasing force during use.

摘要： An improved needle inspection station for use in a combined index machine for forming drilled taper point needles of the type having a plurality of chucks mounted on a rotating platform adapted to selectively engage and release a needle to be formed, a rotary drive for indexing the platform and the chucks through a plurality of radial positions, and a plurality of work stations circumferentially disposed adjacent the radial positions occupied by the chucks. A needle inspection platform slidably mounted on the baseplate reciprocally movable toward and away from a chuck occupying a position adjacent the inspection station. A slide member is movable toward the chuck to permit the gripper to engage the needle, retract it from the chuck and rotate it 180 degrees to reverse the orientation of the needle relative to the chuck. The slide member is then movable back toward the chuck to allow the gripper to replace the needle in the chuck. The needle inspection platform is moveable toward the chuck to permit the needle point to be tested. The needle inspection platform includes a stop containing a resilient conductive material at the leading edge of the platform and a strip of nonconductive material disposed between the stop and the chuck, such that when the strip is moved into contact with a needle extending from a chuck, a properly formed needle point will penetrate the strip and make electrical contact with the stop, thereby signaling a programmable logic controller connected to the stop that a properly formed needle has been detected.

摘要： The air/fuel ratio of the combustion mixture in the cylinders of an engine is sensed and the sensed air/fuel ratio is controlled to a predetermined scheduled air/fuel ratio by controlling the amount of exhaust gases recirculated. When the exhaust gas recirculated is substantially zero, the air/fuel ratio is thereafter closed loop adjusted to a predetermined scheduled minimum air/fuel ratio when the sensed air/fuel ratio is less than the minimum and when the sensed air/fuel ratio is greater than the minimum while the operator command is at a maximum to thereby provide precise fuel limiting at a predetermined fuel limit schedule.

摘要： A chain extending agent for reaction injection molding (RIM) comprising a normally liquid blend of butanediol and a toluene diamine mono-substituted with an electron withdrawing group and having the formula ##STR1## wherein X is vicinal to an amino radical and is selected from the group of halogen, CN, NO.sub.2, acyl, carboxylate and isomeric mixtures thereof, and wherein the butanediol and diamine are combined in a critical mole ratio of from 4:1 to about 19:1. The above blend is particularly useful in the preparation of large moldings of polyurethane-polyurea elastomer by the RIM or RRIM (reinforced reaction injection molding) process wherein instant preformed blend is added to a mixture of polyol reactant and catalyst before polymerization in the mold with isocyanate to produce a urethane/urea polymer product of improved properties. Accordingly, the intention also concerns an enhanced RIM or RRIM process and improved product by the use of a mixture of the present chain extender blend and polyol reactant maintainable in the liquid state at ambient temperature.
