摘要: A method and system of performing high-throughput identifications of broadcast content is provided. A device can send a content identification query, which includes a sample of content being broadcast, to a server to request an identity of the content. The server will perform a computational identification of the content, return the result to the device, and store the result. For all subsequently received content identification queries requesting an identity of content being broadcast from the same source and in a time during which the content is still being broadcast from the source, the server will send the stored content identification in response to the subsequent queries. If a subsequent content identification query does not request the identity of content being broadcast from the same source or is not received during the time that the content is still being broadcast, the server will perform a computational identification of a content sample.

摘要: The invention relates to a connector 1 comprising contact pins 3 and 3A having a contact part on a tip end thereof and a wire connection part on a rear end thereof, and a connector housing 4 having a receiving hole 5 for receiving therein the contact pins 3 and 3A and wires W. The connector 1 also includes a bridge type connection member 22 including a connection blade 23 which includes first and second contact parts 23a and 23b connected to each other via a junction piece 23c. The bridge type connection member 22 is pushed into the receiving hole 5 with the contact pins 3 and 3A and the wires W being received in the receiving hole 5, thereby connecting the connection parts of the contact pins 3 and 3A to core wires of the wires via the first and second contact parts 23a and 23b. This can provide a connector for easily connecting wires having various sizes and various types of contact pins without using a special tool.

摘要: A lancet activating device comprising a housing (3) which houses a reciprocating spring-loaded plunger (17), serving as a trigger to activate a lancet (26); cavity (5,6) for placements of a lancet (26) and a finger (23); apertures (9, 7) for the insertion of said lancet and said finger; leaf-spring (10) to position a finger (23). An unactivated fresh lancet (26) is inserted into the cavity (6) of the lancet activating device and the patient's finger (23) is placed into the cavity (5), whereby the finger positioning will be determined by the leaf-spring (10). At a press of the top mounted reciprocating plunger (17), the lancet (26) is activated to puncture the finger (23) and the patient proceeds to withdraw his finger and collection of the micro blood sample can proceed. Thereafter a fresh lancet (26) can be inserted into the cavity (6) of the lancet activating device from the lancet insertion aperture (9). The fresh lancet (26) forces the used lancet (27) out of the lancet activating device via the lancet disposition aperture (8) where it will be transited to an attached container (2) via an access opening (16) located at the top of the container (2). Throughout the procedure, the users of said lancet activating device do not need to come into contact with the patient.

摘要: Devices and methods of manufacturing; for emitting substantially white light using a photonic crystal are described. The photonic crystal has a lattice of air holes and is made from a substrate containing quantum dots. The substrate is etched with three defects that are optically coupled together so that each emits only certain frequencies of light. In combination, the defects can produce substantially white light. The parameters of the photonic crystal are dimensioned so as to cause the coupling between the defects to produce substantially white light.

摘要: A polarization controller includes a phase retarder having a rotation about an {1,0,0} axis that receives an optical signal from a waveguide structure. At least one nanoelectromechanical dielectric perturber produces ±45° birefringent axes by placing the at least one nanoelectromechanical dielectric perturber at selective positions around the phase retarder to produce dynamic change in the effective index in one of the modes existent in an extraordinary axial direction.

摘要: Integrate circuit die terminal arrangements and configurations for mounting an integrate circuit die on a package substrate to reduce package transmission paths. In one embodiment, terminals for signals sensitive to trace length outside a die are arranged at the corners of the die. The die is mounted on a package substrate in an angle with respect to a package substrate to point the corners of the die at the edges of the package substrate to reduce trace length outside the die. The center of the die may or may not coincide with the center of the substrate. In one embodiment, when compare to a centered, non-rotated die mounting position, mounting a die with corners pointing at the edges of the package substrate does not cause significant differences in substrate warpage.
