Abstract: A connector for connecting two hollow-profile strips of an insulating glazing unit is presented. The connector includes two plug-in legs suitable for insertion into the hollow-profile strips, and a connection region where the two plug-in legs are connected. The connection region includes an outer surface, two pane contact surfaces, and an inner surface. According to one aspect, the connector includes a cavity to establish a passage from the inner interpane space to corresponding surroundings of the insulating glazing unit. According to another aspect, the cavity has a first opening in the outer surface of the connection region that is sealed with a gas-permeable and water-vapor-tight membrane.

Abstract: An insulating glazing unit having a first pane, a second pane, a third pane arranged between the first pane and the second pane, an outer pane interspace, an inner pane interspace, and a spacer is described. The spacer having a plastic profile with a first glazing interior surface and a second glazing interior surface, a first pane contact surface, a second pane contact surface, a primary sealing means, and a main member containing a sealing material and a drying material. The plastic profile includes a groove, into which the third pane is inserted and which runs parallel to the first pane contact surface and to the second pane contact surface. The plastic profile separates the outer pane interspace from the inner pane interspace. The main member is arranged in the outer pane interspace between the plastic profile and the primary sealing means, the main member being adjacent the plastic profile and the primary sealing means.

Abstract: A spacer for insulating glazing units is presented. The spacer includes a main body having first and second pane contact legs that are parallel, first and second glazing interior legs, an outer leg, first and second hollow chambers extending along an extension direction, and a groove for receiving a pane. Arranged in the groove, there is an extruded pane receiving socket formed from a polymer having a Shore hardness A in a range from 10 to 80 as measured per DIN ISO 7619-1. In a surface of the pane receiving socket, a receiving recess running substantially parallel to the groove and decreasingly tapering viewed in cross-section in a direction of the outer leg is implemented. Abstract: A modular system for a multiple insulating glazing unit includes a double glazing component having a first and second pane elements with first and second pane sealing surfaces, a spacer arranged between the first and second pane sealing surfaces and composed of a spacer strut that encloses an insulating glass volume between the first and second pane elements and is fixed in a gas-tight manner by a fixing system to the first and second pane sealing surfaces. The spacer strut is arranged as a frame open in sections such that a receiving opening is implemented between two spacer struts, which receiving opening is dimensioned such that a third pane element is insertable through the opening into the insulating glass volume. The modular system also includes a closure component with the third pane element, and a closure sealing system for the gas-tight closure of the insulating glass volume.

Abstract: An insulating glass element suitable for a refrigeration cabinet. The insulating glass element includes a first pane and a second pane spaced at a distance from the first pane. The first pane has two opposite parallel horizontal edges and two opposite parallel vertical edges. The second pane has two opposite parallel horizontal edges and two opposite parallel vertical edges. According to one aspect, two horizontal spacers are arranged between the first pane and the second pane. According to another aspect, two vertically arranged flat profiles are secured to the vertical edges of the first pane and to the vertical edges of the second pane. According to yet another aspect, the spacers and the flat profiles enclose an inner interpane space between the first pane and the second pane, and one of the two flat profiles is transparent.

Abstract: A method and a device for filling a spacer frame with a filler for producing an insulating glazing unit and a spacer frame produced in accordance with the method is disclosed. A fill time of the spacer frame for filling to a fill level of 100% is calculated and the spacer frame is inserted into a filling device with scales and a frame holder. The spacer frame is suspended in suspension devices, the spacer frame is filled for the calculated fill time, and the spacer frame is weighed, and the fill level is determined. If the fill level is larger than 90%, then the filling of the spacer frame is terminated.
