A method for sending a Channel State Information (CSI) report for a Downlink (DL) channel by a User Equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system is provided. The method includes obtaining, from an evolved Node B (eNB), CSI report setting information including information about a transmission cycle and a transmission time for a CSI report, and Discontinuous Reception (DRX) setting information including information about an active time period in which signal transmission/reception is available in a DRX mode, determining whether the UE operates in the DRX mode, and if the UE is determined to operate in the DRX mode, adjusting the transmission time taking into account the CSI report setting information and the active time period, and sending the CSI report at the adjusted transmission time.

An apparatus and a method for generation of channel state information in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes transmitting, by an evolved Node B (eNB), a first reference signal to a plurality of User Equipments (UEs), receiving channel state information generated based on the first reference signal from the plurality of UEs, selecting candidate UEs to which wireless resources are to be allocated and transmitting second reference signals to the selected candidate UEs, receiving channel state information generated based on the second reference signals from the candidate UEs, and selecting final UEs, to which wireless resources are to be allocated, from the candidate UEs based on the channel state information generated based on the second reference signals, and transmitting control information for data reception to the selected final UEs.

A feedback method and apparatus are provided for Cooperative Multi-Point (CoMP) communication in a communication system. The method includes checking a number of feedback allocations configured by Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling, determining a number of bits of an aperiodic feedback indicator based on the checked number of feedback allocations, receiving Downlink Control Information (DCI) including the aperiodic feedback indicator, interpreting the aperiodic feedback indicator, based on the determined number of bits of the aperiodic feedback indicator, and performing aperiodic feedback of at least one feedback allocation, based on the aperiodic feedback indicator.

A method for determining an initial state in a DAS includes receiving a value through high-level signalling and determining an initial state based on the value, in which the value includes a value in which is set an initial state of a scrambling sequence, which differs according to a transmission point.

The method includes configuring channel component information for separating each of a plurality of channel elements of the channel according to components of the plurality of channel elements; configuring grouping information for grouping the plurality of channel elements; configuring order sorting information for sorting an order of the plurality of channel elements; configuring probability distribution approximation information for probability distribution approximating the plurality of channel elements; and transmitting the configured channel component information, grouping information, order sorting information, and probability distribution approximation information.

The present invention relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate beyond a 4G communication system such as LTE and, more particularly, to a method and a device for controlling transmission power, the method being performed in a base station of a wireless communication system using multiple antennas. The method for controlling transmission power comprises the step of: transmitting a reference signal at a plurality of vertical angles that differ from each other by means of an antenna arrangement; receiving channel state information, which is related to beamforming of a transmission signal, from a terminal which has received the reference signal and measured a channel state; and transmitting the transmission signal to the terminal by means of transmission power which corresponds to the channel state information.

A method for reporting channel state information by a terminal in a multiple access based communication system is provided. The method includes determining a most favored direction with a highest signal quality with respect to a reference signal received from a base station and determining, as a reported object, some channel directions including the most favored direction among channel directions formed together with the base station, identifying a channel quality information group including channel quality information corresponding to the some channel directions among channel quality information groups classified according to a distance measured with respect to the most favored direction, and transmitting the identified channel quality information group to the base station.

A method and user equipment for transmitting channel state information (CSI) are provided. The method includes identifying a plurality of CSI configurations, each CSI configuration including channel measurement information, interference measurement information, an index for the each CSI configuration, and information for a period and an offset; and reporting a CSI for a CSI configuration among the plurality of CSI configurations based on a CSI report type and an index for the CSI configuration, in case of collision between CSI reports for the plurality of CSI configurations.

Methods and apparatuses are provided for reporting channel status by a user equipment (UE) in a communication system. Information on at least one channel status information reference signal is received from an evolved node B. A first channel status based on a first period and a first set of the at least one channel status information reference signal, is reported to the evolved node B. A second channel status based on a second period and a second set of the at least one channel status information reference signal, is reported to the evolved node B. The first channel status includes at least one of a precoding matrix indicator (PMI), a channel quality indicator (CQI), and a ranking indication (RI), and the second channel status includes at least one of a CQI, a PMI and a RI. A method and a device for measuring interference in a communication system are provided. The method includes measuring interference in a base station of a communication system, in which one or more antenna groups are arranged at different positions in a single cell, includes the steps of determining a reception antenna group which is one of the one or more antenna groups that transmits a signal other than an interference signal to a terminal, determining a reference signal in order to measure the strength of the signal transmitted by the reception antenna group, a step of determining a wireless resource so as to measure the interference in each of the one or more antenna groups, and notifying the terminal with the strength of the signal transmitted by the reception antenna group and information for measuring the interference in each of the one or more antenna groups.
