A display apparatus is provided, including a video processor configured to process video data of contents, a display configured to display content views using the video data processed by the video processor, a communication unit configured to communicate with an external device which is paired with the display apparatus, and a control unit configured to assign a remote control right to a content view corresponding to the remote control right switching command from among the content views based on whether the remote control right switching command is received from the external device. If a remote control signal is received, the control unit performs an operation corresponding to the remote control signal with respect to the content view having the remote control right.

An image processing apparatus, an image processing system, and a method thereof are provided. The apparatus includes: a signal processor which receives a plurality of contents and constructs image frames of the respective contents; an outputter which operates in a first mode to output image frames of only one content, and in a second mode to combine and output the image frames of the plurality of contents; a video telephony processor including an image capturer to capture an image external to the apparatus, the video telephony processor connecting video telephony, if a request for video telephony is received via an external network; and a controller which controls the outputter to determine a combination of the image frames of the plurality of contents outputted through the signal processor, according to an operational status of the video telephony processor.

A display apparatus having a sensor and camera and a control method thereof are provided. Exemplary embodiments relate to a display apparatus and a control method thereof which determines through a sensor, such as a pyroelectric infrared ray (PIR) sensor, and a camera, whether a user intends to use the display apparatus, and drives the display apparatus based on the users intentions in order to reduce booting time.

A display device including a display panel is provided, the display device including a plurality of pixels, a display controller configured to input image data to the plurality of pixels during a second time within a first time, the first time being determined by a scanning frequency of the display panel and to maintain the image data input to the plurality of pixels during a third time, the third time being a part or all of the first time excluding the second time, and a power supply configured to supply power to the display panel and the display controller. The display controller generates a power sync signal which is enabled during the second time, and the power supply supplies the power based on the power sync signal.

A pairing apparatus and method are provided. The pairing apparatus includes: a first communicator configured to broadcast a search signal over a first communication method, and to receive, from the external communication apparatus, a first response signal in response to the search signal; a second communicator configured to receive a second response signal via a second communication method having a shorter transmission range than the first communication method; and a controller configured to, in response to the first communicator receiving the first response signal and the second communicator receiving the second response signal, control to perform a pairing with the external communication apparatus, wherein the second communicator is periodically activated while the pairing apparatus is turned on, and an activation period of the second communicator is set adaptively according to a transmission period of the second response signal.

3D glasses and a method of controlling power and pairing thereof are provided. The method of controlling power and pairing includes: restricting supply of a specific power of 3D glasses; performing, by the 3D glasses, pairing with a display apparatus; and if it is determined that the pairing is performed, lifting the restriction on the supply of the specific power. Therefore, a user may perform pairing between the 3D glasses and the 3D display apparatus easily and prevent power of the 3D glasses from being unnecessarily wasted.

A display apparatus and a method of controlling the display apparatus are provided. The display apparatus is controlled through a remote control device and operates with an eyeglass apparatus. The display apparatus includes: a display which alternately displays a plurality of content views; a communicator which communicates with the eyeglass apparatus to transmit a sync signal corresponding to one of the plurality of content views to the eyeglass apparatus; a control command receiver which receives a control command to control operation states of the plurality of content views from the remote control device; and a controller which, if the control command to control an operation state of another content view is received, except a content view synchronized with the eyeglass apparatus, controls the display to display a user interface (UI) including information related to the control command at a display timing of the content view.
