Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for reducing power consumption of a wireless terminal, comprising the operations of: when receiving a triggering packet from the wireless terminal, estimating parameters related to reduction of the power consumption of the wireless terminal; when receiving a condition including a required reduction amount for the power consumption, determined on the basis of the parameters, and time delay related information, setting a clustering cycle corresponding to the condition; and performing a wireless communication with the wireless terminal on the basis of the clustering cycle.
Abstract:
A method for providing a cooperative communication service by a macro Base Station (BS) in a mobile communication system is provided. The method includes generating at least one small cell BS group by grouping small cell BSs if there are small cell BSs of which a number is equal to or larger than a threshold small cell BS number within a service coverage of the macro BS, establishing a cooperative interface with a representative small cell BS among small cell BSs included in the at least one small cell BS group, and providing a cooperative communication service with the at least one small cell BS group using the cooperative interface.
Abstract:
Analog heterogeneous tags and methods and systems to configure the tags are described. The present invention relates to the field of electronic devices and more particularly to electronic tag devices using analog technology. Embodiments herein disclose a tag that can work in at least one of transmit only, receive only or transmit/receive modes and can transmit/receive using a plurality of communication technologies without the complex stack functionality with minimal hardware and memory requirements, wherein the tag uses I/Q samples corresponding to each technology pre-stored on the tag. Embodiments herein also disclose methods and systems for configuring the electronic tags using a configuration device, wherein the configuration device provides the I/Q samples of each technology to the tag.
Abstract:
A method for a serving base station to determine a handover time in a communication system is provided. The method includes determining whether to set up dual connectivity (DC) with respect to a terminal with a target base station that transmits the beacon if it is recognized that the terminal receives a beacon including a plurality of pieces of service coverage area information, and determining whether to execute a handover to the target base station based on a measurement report of the terminal, which is received after the DC is set up if the DC is set up.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for providing a service to a Mobile Station (MS) by a plurality of Base Stations (BSs) operating in cooperation in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes configuring, by a master BS, a first cooperative cell including at least one slave BS, sending a resource request message for requesting resource allocation to the at least one slave BS included in the first cooperative cell, receiving, from each of the at least one slave BS, a resource request response message including resource approval control results for the resource allocation request, changing member BSs constituting the first cooperative cell based on the resource request response message, and allocating resources to an MS that is served in the first cooperative cell.
Abstract:
A system and a method minimize power consumption, signalling overhead, and processing load in blind scheduling in a mobile communication system. A User Equipment (UE) detects a type of an uplink (UL) grant while it is periodically allocated the UL grant. If there is no data to transmit using the UL grant, the UE determines whether to transmit a padding Medium Access Control (MAC) Protocol Data Unit (PDU) to an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) Node B (eNB) using the UL grant according to the type of the UL grant.
