摘要: An ignition system for an internal combustion engine comprises knock detecting means for detecting knocking of the engine, and ignition timing control means for controlling the ignition timing of the engine in response to the presence or absence of the knocking condition. The knock detecting means detects the pressure in the cylinders of the engine to detect the occurrence of knocking by the fact that the detected pressure includes a high frequency pressure variation. The ignition timing control means is responsive to the output of the knock detecting means, whereby as long as no knocking is detected the ignition timing is controlled to provide the minimum advance for best torque (MBT) and ensure improved engine power efficiency and fuel consumption, whereas when knocking is detected the ignition timing is retarded in relation to the minimum advance for maximum torque (MBT) to prevent the engine from knocking.

摘要: When a press jig is inserted into a jig insertion hole, an O-ring attached to the outer peripheral surface of the press jig is prevented from being caught on an air supply port opening to the inner peripheral surface of the jig insertion hole and damaged. In a sealing pump-up device 10, the opening diameter of an air supply port 58 opening to the inner peripheral surface of a jig insertion hole 44 provided at one end of an air supply path 60 is set smaller than the strand diameters of an O-ring 72 and an O-ring 96. Consequently, the width at the edge of the air supply ports 58 on which the O-rings 72, 96 may possibly be caught can be made sufficiently smaller than the strand diameter of the O-rings 72, 96. When the O-rings 72, 96 pass on the inner peripheral side of the air supply ports 58 in a state of press contact with the inner peripheral surface of the jig insertion hole 44, the amount by which the O-rings 72, 96 are deformed (restored) in order to swell to the outer peripheral side so that a portion thereof fits into the air supply ports 58, can be reduced sufficiently.

摘要: In a charge terminal, the amount of money added to a money terminal (an electronic money card or the like) can be easily set up. A charge terminal is provided with a slot for inserting paper money and a reader/writer section for a non-contact IC card, and it can access the electronic money card formed from the non-contact IC card through the reader/writer section. Moreover, the charge terminal has a function for charging value on the electronic money card by the amount of money of an inserted paper money, and further stores an amount-of-money table in which ID information (hereinafter, campaign card ID) of an IC card for campaign (herein after, campaign card) is connected with the amount of money for charge, and can charge the amount of money corresponding to the campaign card ID read in the reader/writer section to the IC card.

摘要: A process for producing a polyphenylene ether, which comprises contacting, with an aqueous solution of a chelating agent, a polyphenylene ether solution and adding a water-soluble poor solvent for the polyphenylene ether to precipitate the polyphenylene ether; and recovering the thus precipitated polyphenylene ether. A mixture remaining after the recovery of the polyphenylene ether is brought into contact with water to extract the water-soluble poor solvent, and a water phase containing the thus extracted water-soluble poor solvent is recovered by separation. The water-soluble poor solvent is separated and removed from the water phase by distillation, and the whole or a part of the remaining water phase is recycled as water to be brought into contact with the mixture, the remaining water phase having a content of a high-boiling-point organic substance of 1 wt. % or less.

摘要: In an internal combustion engine to which an air pressure actuation mechanism such as a variable vibration isolating support device is installed side by side, the engine speed at the time of idling is made to suitably converge on the target idling speed. The idling speed control device includes: an idling speed control mechanism for controlling the intake air amount of the internal combustion engine to make the engine speed be the desired target idling speed at the time of idling of the internal combustion engine; an air pressure actuation mechanism operated by selectively introducing the atmospheric pressure and the intake tube negative pressure produced in the intake passage on the down stream side of the throttle valve; and an intake air amount compensating mechanism for compensating the adjusting position of the idling speed control mechanism in the direction of decreasing the intake air amount of the internal combustion engine when introducing the intake tube negative pressure after the introduction of the atmospheric pressure into the air pressure actuation mechanism.

摘要: A method of producing a polycarbonate excellent in the hue, the thermal stability, and the electrolysis stability by supplying a polycarbonate obtained by a transesterification method to an extruder having vent(s), melting the polycarbonate, and adding an acidic compound to the molten polycarbonate followed by kneading to continuously devolatilize low molecular weight compounds remaining in the polycarbonate. Better result is obtained by adding water to the kneaded mixture of the polycarbonate and the acidic compound before devolatilizing the low molecular weight compounds.
