摘要: An air conditioner is provided. The air conditioner includes a housing, a heat exchanger positioned inside the housing, a fan for blowing air into the heat exchanger such that heat in the blown air is exchanged with the heat exchanger, a duct including a first channel forming surface, and a second channel forming surface, a porous panel corresponding to the second channel forming surface, and including a plurality of pores, a blade for swiveling between an open position and a closed position, blocking the low wind-speed channel at the open position so that air passed through the basic channel can be discharged outside of the air conditioner, moving the air passed through the basic channel to the low wind-speed channel, and discharging the air to the outside via the pores at the closed position, a driver for driving the blade to swivel, and a processor configured to control the driver.

摘要: An outdoor unit (ODU) for an air conditioning system includes a baffle or other airflow direction control such that the cooling air from a condenser is at least partially directed over the compressor to provide air movement around the compressor to assist in thermal transfer of heat from the compressor. In one system, curvilinear frustoconical baffles are positioned in a conventional barrel-type outdoor unit to direct airflow toward the compressor before being discharged from the unit. When any of the ODUs is part of a heat pump system for providing heating and cooling, a retractable or movable air diverting system is employed when in the heating mode to prevent airflow through the condenser from reaching the compressor.

摘要: An outdoor unit of an air conditioner includes: an outdoor fan; an outdoor air temperature detector; and a controller, wherein the controller performs: a fan defrost operation to circulate the refrigerant in the same order as in the case of a cooling operation and rotate the outdoor fan when the outdoor air temperature is within a predetermined temperature range, a fan defrost operation over a period of a first fan defrost operation time when the outdoor air temperature is lower than a first predetermined temperature, and a fan defrost operation over a period of a second fan defrost operation time that is longer than the first fan defrost operation time when the outdoor air temperature is equal to or higher than a second predetermined temperature that is higher than the first predetermined temperature.

摘要: Provided are an outdoor unit of an air conditioner that detects snow that piles up on the outdoor unit of the air conditioner and a method of controlling the same. When a detection device is installed in the outdoor unit and snow piles up in a snow cover detection area included in the detection device, it is detected using an optical sensor whether snow cover occurs. A value detected by the optical sensor is transmitted to a controller, and the controller compares the value with a default value, and when the controller receives a value different from the default value, the controller controls a fan driving unit to drive a fan. Wind generated by driving the fan removes snow that piles up in the snow cover detection area, a fan guard and a discharge port to prevent the fan from malfunctioning due to accumulated snow.

A fan assembly includes at least one fan generally aligned with a single heat exchanger coil in the heat exchanger assembly.

摘要: In at least one aspect of this disclosure, a refrigeration system includes an evaporatively cooled condenser configured to transfer heat from the refrigeration system to an atmosphere, an air inlet in fluid communication with the condenser, and an evaporative cooling medium disposed between the atmosphere and the condenser such that at least a portion of an airflow from the atmosphere passes through the evaporative cooling medium to reduce the temperature of the airflow before passing the airflow over the condenser. The evaporative cooling can improve system cooling efficiency by 20-50% or even greater in dry climates.

摘要: Systems and methods for low ambient air temperature cooling in air-source based heat pump systems wherein an outdoor heat pump unit includes a discharge hood positionable over its fan. The hood including a damper that is openable and closeable as a function of outside temperature. The outdoor unit may also include wind deflectors positioned over the coil openings of the disclosure. During cooling operations below a low outside air threshold temperature, e.g., below 23° F., the damper assembly partially closes to reduce airflow across the condenser coil of the outdoor unit to a level below that which is possible at minimum fan speed. As the outdoor temperature continues to drop, the damper assembly continues to close to further reduce airflow.
