    摘要: In a production process for a water-absorbent resin, comprising the steps of: blending a liquid material and a water-absorbent resin; and heating the resultant mixture in order to produce a modified water-absorbent resin, the present invention is to provide: a method for uniformly and efficiently treating a water-absorbent resin favorably in view of industry, and as a result, a good-balanced water-absorbent resin having various excellent properties, such absorption capacity without a load, absorption capacity under a load, and single-layer absorption capacity under a load in contact with an aqueous liquid. The production process comprises the step of spray-blending a water-absorbent resin (A) and a liquid material (B) with a blending apparatus equipped with a spray nozzle (C), wherein the liquid material (B) is sprayed from the spray nozzle (C) and its spray pattern is a circular and hollow cone shape or a double-convex-lens and elliptic cone shape. In addition, the production process comprises the step of heat-treating a water-absorbent resin under an atmosphere having a dew point of not higher than 60° C. and a temperature of not lower than 90° C., wherein the water-absorbent resin is obtained after a drying step following a pulverization step.

    摘要: Provided is a method for producing a water absorbent resin, which promotes the formation of interconnected voids (continuous gas bubbles) in a foamed polymer (foam-like water absorbent resin) by a more convenient method, and produces with high efficiency a water absorbent resin which exhibits a high water absorption rate even when stepped into a sheet form or a powder form in hygiene articles and the like. Disclosed is a a method for producing a polyacrylic acid-type water absorbent resin, comprising (A) a step of obtaining an aqueous solution of acrylic acid-type monomers containing gas bubbles dispersed therein; (B) a step of polymerizing the aqueous monomer solution and thereby obtaining a foamed polymer; and (C) a step of heating and drying the foamed polymer, wherein gas bubbles are incorporated such that the volumetric expansion factor defined by the following formula (1); [Formula 1] Volumetric expansion factor=(Volume of aqueous monomer solution after gas bubble dispersion)/(volume of aqueous mononer solution before gas bubble dispersion)  Formula (1); exceeds 1.1 times, and the aqueous monomer solution having a monomer concentration defined by the following formula (2); [Formula 2] Monomer concentration [wt %]=(Weight of a monomer)/{(weight of a monomer)+(weight of solvent)}×100   Formula (2); of 40% by weight or greater is boiling polymerized at a temperature of 100° C. or higher.

Pulverization is performed between a first drying room at not less than 80° C. to not more than 200° C. and a second or subsequent room at not less than 100° C. to not more than 220° C. A method for producing a water absorbent resin includes: (1) polymerizing a monomer aqueous solution; (2) drying a hydrogel polymer of step (1); (3) performing particle size control of the dry polymer of the step (2); (5) surface crosslinking the water absorbent resin powder of step (3), and step (4) of performing a second heat drying on the water absorbent resin powder of step (3), preceding step (5). The water absorbent resin has a moisture content of 0 wt % to 3 wt % before the step (5).

The method is a continuous production method of a polyacrylic acid (salt)-based water-absorbent resin, comprising a polymerization step of an aqueous solution containing acrylic acid (salt), a drying step of the resultant hydrogel-like polymer, a pulverization step of the dried substance, a classification step of the pulverized substance, and optionally a surface cross-linking step of the classified substance, wherein (a) the drying step and the pulverization step are connected via a storage step and a transportation step; and (b) a time of holding the dried substance from a time of completing the drying step to a time of starting the pulverization step is set at 3 minutes or longer.
