    摘要: A rear wheel steering system is disposed in a rear wheel steering mechanism and has a power cylinder for generating a power for steering the rear wheels in response to a liquid pressure. The power cylinder is connected to a pump as a source of generating the liquid pressure through a high pressure passage and further to a reservoir tank through a low pressure passage. The high pressure passage is connected to the low pressure passage through a relief passage on the pump side and a relief passage on the power cylinder side, the relief passages being disposed in parallel to each other. The rear wheel steering system is provided with a passage shifting system for closing the relief passages during stationary period of time while opening each of the relief passages during operation and dividing the high pressure passage between the relief passages into sections and with a narrowed passage portion disposed at the relief passage on the power cylinder side. Operation of the passage shifting system independently allows the high pressure passage on the pump side and the high pressure passage on the power cylinder side to be communicated with the low pressure passage. At this time, the liquid pressure from the power cylinder is gradually released by the action of the narrowed passage portion. The liquid pressure withdrawn from the pump is rapidly released to the low pressure passage without interference with the narrowed passage portion.

    摘要: A hydropneumatic suspension system for a vehicle has a hydraulic cylinder-piston device connected between the vehicle body and each of the wheels, and a plurality of gas springs which exert a spring force according to the hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic chamber of the cylinder-piston device. Each gas spring has a fluid chamber and a gas chamber which are defined in a casing and are separated from each other by a movable partition wall, and the fluid chamber is communicated with the hydraulic chamber of the hydraulic cylinder-piston device. The upper end portion of the piston rod is supported by the vehicle body by way of a mount. The piston rod is provided with a fluid passage which axially extends through the piston rod and the lower end of which opens to the hydraulic chamber of the cylinder-piston device. A support member is fixed to the piston rod at an upper portion below the mount. The upper end portions of the casings of the gas springs are mounted on the support member and the fluid chamber of each gas spring is communicated with the fluid passage in the piston rod by way of a fluid passage formed in the support member.

    摘要: A four-wheel-steered vehicle is provided with a front wheel turning mechanism and a rear wheel turning mechanism which respectively turn front and rear wheels in response to the rotation of a steering wheel. The rear wheels are turned in the same direction as the front wheels when the steering wheel is turned while the vehicle is in a predetermined operating condition. A rear suspension system which supports a rear wheel has a wheel support which supports a rear wheel and is connected to a rear wheel turning rod of the rear wheel turning mechanism so that the rear wheel on the wheel support is turned about a king pin axis when the rear wheel turning rod member is displaced. Upper and lower arms are connected to the wheel support and guide the wheel support so that the rear wheel on the wheel support is turned about the king pin axis in response to displacement of the rear wheel turning rod. A coil spring is connected between the wheel support and the vehicle body and restrains vertical motion of the wheel support under the counterforce thereof, the coil spring being arranged so that the line of action of the counterforce is tilted with respect to the king pin axis so that it is not parallel to the king pin axis, does not intersect the king pin axis and is directed such that the counter force turns the wheel support in the toe-out direction of the rear wheel thereon.

An upper wheel-support support member connects an upper portion of the wheel support to the vehicle body, and a lower wheel-support support member connects a lower portion of the wheel support to the vehicle body.
