摘要: An improved structure of an electric connector of a gas sensor is provided which is designed to establish a firm electric connection between each electrode terminal formed on a sensing element and one of plural leads extending outside of the gas sensor for connection with an external device. The connector has a stopper which is placed in contact with an end wall of an insulating member to keep the connector on the insulating member without the connector dropping into a hole through which a lead extends from the sensing element when the lead is coupled to the connector. This allows the connector to be pressed and welded to secure the lead in a constant position relative to the insulating member, thus improving the stability of the sensor signal to be received at the external device.

摘要: An image forming apparatus with toner saving mode is disclosed. This image forming apparatus comprising a normal ditheringing matrix and a toner saving mode ditheringing matrix having threshold data higher than that of the normal ditheringing matrix. The normal ditehring matrix is for image data processing under non-toner saving mode and the toner saving mode matrix is for image data processing under toner saving mode. The selection of the dithering matrix is executed by a central processing unit in response with the existance of order for toner saving. The processed image data processed by one of the dithreing matrix maintains the expression of linear tonality.

摘要: A method of producing vapor growth carbon fibers which are grown in a rection space by thermally decomposing gaseous hydrocarbon and by using transition metal fine particles as the catalyst, wherein the reaction space is filled with ceramic granules which serve as a radiation heat transfer medium and are moved to prevent an intermingling of the growing carbon fibers, so that the grown carbon fibers are conveyed from the reaction space by a gas stream.

摘要: Medical catheter apparatus used for implanting a vascular stent into a vessel of a living body comprising a catheter including a distal portion where a balloon attaching a vascular stent is provided, and a sheath into which the catheter is inserted and to be moved relative to the catheter between the section where it covers the balloon on which a vascular stent is mounted and the section where it exposes the vascular stent mounted on the balloon. The sheath comprises a first tubular member covering the distal portion at which the balloon is provided, and a second tubular member covering the proximal portion of the catheter and connected with the first tubular member. The first tubular member is formed of a tubular member capable of flexible deformation and the second tubular member is formed of a tubular member less extensible in the axial direction than the first tubular member.

摘要: An improved manufacturing method for a gas sensor is provided which is capable of establishing a required hermetic seal in a body of the gas sensor. The method includes preparing a sensor assembly including a housing, an air cover, an insulation porcelain, and a sensor element, pressing the air cover against the housing to fit an end of the air cover on an end of the housing to form an overlap thereof, and welding the air cover to the housing over the overlap. The welding is accomplished while pressing the air cover against the housing, thereby compressing an elastic member in the air cover to establish a hermetic seal between the sensor element and the housing.
