Abstract: Systems and methods described herein bring a 5G standalone-capable end device back into 5G service to leverage the 5G network's data capacity as soon as a VoLTE call is over. A network device receives a fallback connection, for a 5G New Radio (NR) standalone-capable end device, from a second network to the first network to support a voice call on the end device, wherein the fallback connection supports a voice-over-LTE call. The network device detects an end of the VoLTE call and initiates, in response to the detecting, a handover of the end device back to the second network, wherein the initiating occurs while the end device is in a radio resource control (RRC) connected mode.

The device can identify, using the APH component, a network slice specified by the URSP rule associated with the application and a data network specified by the URSP rule associated with the application. The device can attempt, using a modem component included in the device, to establish the data session using the network slice specified by the URSP rule associated with the application and the data network specified by the URSP rule associated with the application.

Abstract: A device described herein may maintain information associating sets of traffic attributes with respective sets of Quality of Service (“QoS”) parameters, and may receive a request to establish a traffic flow. The request may indicate one or more traffic attributes associated with the requested traffic flow. The device may compare the one or more traffic attributes, included in the request, to the information associating the sets of traffic attributes with the respective sets of QoS parameters, identify a particular set of QoS parameters with which the traffic flow is associated, establish a communication session with a network based on the particular set of QoS parameters, communicate traffic, associated with the traffic flow, with the network via the established communication session. The device may include an application programming interface (“API”) via which an application associated with the traffic flow may specify the traffic attributes in the request.

Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a network slice selection service is provided. The service may include using route selection policies that includes radio frequency criteria for selection of a network slice. The service may include establishing an application session based on the route selection policies. The service may further include determining that a radio frequency of the network slice cannot be sustained. The service may include executing an application session release procedure and an application session establishment procedure. The procedures may include using cause data and context data pertaining to the initial application session to re-establish the application session via a different network slice and a different radio frequency based on the route selection policies.

Abstract: A system described herein may receive, from a User Equipment (“UE”) via a first network, a request to establish a communication session. The system may determine, based on one or more attributes of the request, that the requested communication session should be established between the UE and a gateway device that is communicatively coupled to a second network. The system may establish, based on the determining, the communication session between the UE and the gateway device. The UE may output communications to the gateway device via the established communication session, and the gateway device may forward the communications received via the communication session to an Internet Protocol (“IP”) Multimedia Subsystem (“IMS”) core of the second network. In this manner, the UE connected to the first network may receive multimedia services provided by the IMS core of the second network.

Abstract: A base station may define power saving profiles, and may define, for the power saving profiles, sets of features and parameter settings for each feature of the sets of features. Abstract: A system described herein may provide a technique for the differentiated Quality of Service (“QoS”) treatment of different traffic types associated with the same application (e.g., a “multi-persona” application) by a wireless network, without the exposure of an application identifier of the application to the wireless network. The application may provide a traffic type indication, based on which a User Equipment (“UE”) may establish one or more QoS flows or other types of communication sessions with the wireless network, where the QoS flows or other types of communication sessions are associated with a network slice that is associated with the traffic type. The communication sessions may include Data Radio Bearers (“DRBs”), backhaul links, protocol data unit (“PDU”) sessions, or other suitable types of communication sessions.
