    Abstract: A device described herein may maintain information associating sets of traffic attributes with respective sets of Quality of Service (“QoS”) parameters, and may receive a request to establish a traffic flow. The request may indicate one or more traffic attributes associated with the requested traffic flow. The device may compare the one or more traffic attributes, included in the request, to the information associating the sets of traffic attributes with the respective sets of QoS parameters, identify a particular set of QoS parameters with which the traffic flow is associated, establish a communication session with a network based on the particular set of QoS parameters, communicate traffic, associated with the traffic flow, with the network via the established communication session. The device may include an application programming interface (“API”) via which an application associated with the traffic flow may specify the traffic attributes in the request.

    Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a network slice selection service is provided. The service may include using route selection policies that includes radio frequency criteria for selection of a network slice. The service may include establishing an application session based on the route selection policies. The service may further include determining that a radio frequency of the network slice cannot be sustained. The service may include executing an application session release procedure and an application session establishment procedure. The procedures may include using cause data and context data pertaining to the initial application session to re-establish the application session via a different network slice and a different radio frequency based on the route selection policies.

    Abstract: A system described herein may receive, from a User Equipment (“UE”) via a first network, a request to establish a communication session. The system may determine, based on one or more attributes of the request, that the requested communication session should be established between the UE and a gateway device that is communicatively coupled to a second network. The system may establish, based on the determining, the communication session between the UE and the gateway device. The UE may output communications to the gateway device via the established communication session, and the gateway device may forward the communications received via the communication session to an Internet Protocol (“IP”) Multimedia Subsystem (“IMS”) core of the second network. In this manner, the UE connected to the first network may receive multimedia services provided by the IMS core of the second network.

    Abstract: A base station may define power saving profiles, and may define, for the power saving profiles, sets of features and parameter settings for each feature of the sets of features. The base station may store the power saving profiles, the sets of features, and the parameter settings in a data structure, and may receive, from a user equipment, data identifying a service utilized by the user equipment or an operation mode of the user equipment. The base station may retrieve, from the data structure, a single power saving profile based on the data identifying the service utilized by the user equipment or the operation mode of the user equipment, and may enable, for the user equipment, a corresponding set of features and corresponding parameter settings of the single power saving profile based on the single power saving profile being retrieved from the data structure.
