摘要: The golden decorative part of the present invention comprises a substrate and, formed thereon according to a dry plating process, an outermost coating, which coating comprises gold and titanium or iron together with inevitable ingredients in specific proportions. A Ti coating formed in an inert gas other than nitrogen, containing inevitable ingredients may be disposed on the substrate, and a TiN coating may be disposed on the substrate or the Ti coating. The above golden decorative part having the outermost coating containing titanium does not cause allergic dermatitis, such as contact dermatitis, even if used in contact with the skin, and exhibits a uniform golden tone. Further, the above golden decorative part having the outermost coating containing iron is strikingly less likely to cause allergic dermatitis, such as contact dermatitis, even if used in contact with the skin, and exhibits a uniform golden tone. The golden decorative part having these advantages can be obtained by the process for producing a golden decorative part according to the present invention.

摘要: The present invention provides a printing apparatus that can be continuously used without imposing enormous cost and time on the user, even if a memory storing a information unique to a components is damaged, and a print control apparatus for controlling the printing apparatus. After the power of the printing apparatus is turned ON, it is judged first whether an upload is to be performed before initialization operation. This is judged by judging whether an engine board is one newly installed based on a value stored in a EEPROM at the engine side. Upload is performed if the engine board is one newly installed. If not, the engine information stored in the EEPROM at the engine side is backed up to the main side. Before performing the upload, it is judged whether the printing apparatus satisfies the uploadable conditions.

摘要: A stator (1) is made up by bonding a first stator part (1a) made of a high-permeability material to a second stator part (1b) made of a high-permeability material respectively by welding through the intermediary of connections (1c, 1d) made of a low-permeability material or a nonmagnetic material, interposed therebetween. Paired recesses (5a, 5b) serving as holding torque setting means for holding a rotor (3) by a magnetic action are formed on the inner periphery of a rotor hole (2) defined inside the stator (1) at the position forming an initial phase angle (&thgr;1). A field coil (7) for excitation is magnetically bonded to opposite ends of the stator (1), thereby forming a two-pole step motor for a timepiece.

摘要: A resin product has a body made of a resin. The body has an outer surface including an ornamental surface and an unornamental surface, a first area defined on the outer surface, and a chemical plating layer and an electroplating layer respectively formed on the first area. A process for producing the resin product comprises the step of making a first boundary along a contour of the first area located on the ornamental surface, and the step of making a second boundary along a contour of the first area located on the unornamental surface. The step of making the second boundary includes forming a resist layer on the unornamental surface. The resist layer has a resistivity to a chemical plating solution for making the chemical plating layer. The process also includes the step of forming the chemical plating layer on the outer surface of the body except a part of the first boundary and the resist layer by chemical plating the body, and the step of selectively forming the electroplating layer on the chemical plating layer within the first area.

摘要: Contoured step sections and contoured grooves along the step sections are formed on a grille body. The grille body is subjected to chemical plating. Since the grooves have narrow bottoms, the bottoms remain unplated, so that a chemical plating layer is formed on the entire surface of the grille body except for the bottoms. The grille body having the chemical plating layer formed thereon is then subjected to an electroplating step having a plurality of steps. An undercoat plating layer is formed on the chemical plating layer formed on the portions where decorative plating is to be applied. The chemical plating layer formed on the portions where no decorative plating is to be applied is dissolved with a predetermined solution. Subsequently, a general electroplating layer is formed on the undercoat plating layer. Thus, the chemical plating layer and the electroplating layers are formed only on the to-be-plated portions. The plated portions are covered with an electroforming mask, and a coating is applied onto the exposed portions to form a coating layer, where the edges of the electroforming mask can be registered with the edges of the plating layer. Accordingly, the boundaries between the coating layer and the plating layer can clearly be defined.
