    摘要: Described is an actuation mechanism for a medicament delivery device having a needle with a distal tip. The actuation mechanism comprises an outer sleeve telescopically relative to the delivery device and an inner sleeve telescopically arranged relative to the outer sleeve. The outer sleeve is axially translatable relative to the delivery device, and the inner sleeve is axially translatable relative to the outer sleeve. In a first state, the inner sleeve protrudes distally from the outer sleeve and the outer sleeve protrudes distally from the delivery device. In a second state, the inner sleeve is contained within the outer sleeve. Movement of the outer sleeve proximally relative to the delivery device in the second state initiates delivery of a medicament in the delivery device.

    摘要: According to the invention, an auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament (M) comprises of a substantially cylindrical housing arranged to contain a pre-filled syringe filled with the medicament (M), a needle shroud slibably arranged with respect to the housing and adapted to rest on the skin of a patient receiving an injection, a releasable drive means arranged within the housing that is capable of, upon release, translating the needle shroud in a proximal direction (P) towards a safe position (PS) and a rotating collar rotatably arranged within the housing. The needle shroud in the safe position (PS) surrounds the injection needle after the injection has been carried out. The rotating collar engages the needle shroud in a manner that forces the rotating collar to rotate within the housing when the needle shroud is translated in the proximal direction (P).

    摘要: A sensor device to be attached to a drug delivery device includes an array of conducting elements each forming part of a respective resonant circuit and each operable to have a signal applied to it. The drug delivery device has a first movable element supporting a conductive region, which is configured to move along a path parallel to a longitudinal axis of the drug delivery device. When the sensor device is attached to the drug delivery device, the conducting elements are arranged such that each resonant circuit is operable to output a signal indicative of the proximity of the conductive region supported on the first moveable element to the respective conducting element of each resonant circuit. The sensor device includes circuitry to receive the signals output from the resonant circuit and, based on the received signals, determines information associated with a location along the path of the first movable element.

A spring means, upon activation, can push the needle from inside the housing through the orifice and past the proximal end, operate the syringe to supply the dose of medicament, and retract the syringe with the needle after delivering the medicament. An activating means can lock the spring means in a pressurized state prior to manual operation and capable of, upon manual operation, releasing the spring means for injection.

    摘要: A cartridge carrier assembly for a medicament delivery device comprises a cartridge carrier adapted to receive a cartridge defining a cavity containing a dose of a medicament, a needle hub being part of the cartridge carrier or coupled to the cartridge carrier such that the needle hub is fixed relative to the cartridge carrier, the needle hub adapted to receive a distal end or part of the cartridge, an injection needle having a tipped proximal needle section adapted to pierce a sealing element distally arranged on the cartridge, and a removable needle cap attachable to a distal end of the cartridge carrier. The needle hub comprises a cartridge retention feature adapted to abut the cartridge or a part thereof to limit axial movement of the cartridge in the distal direction such that the proximal needle section is spaced from the sealing element.
