摘要: Described is an actuation mechanism for a medicament delivery device having a needle with a distal tip. The actuation mechanism comprises an outer sleeve telescopically relative to the delivery device and an inner sleeve telescopically arranged relative to the outer sleeve. The outer sleeve is axially translatable relative to the delivery device, and the inner sleeve is axially translatable relative to the outer sleeve. In a first state, the inner sleeve protrudes distally from the outer sleeve and the outer sleeve protrudes distally from the delivery device. In a second state, the inner sleeve is contained within the outer sleeve. Movement of the outer sleeve proximally relative to the delivery device in the second state initiates delivery of a medicament in the delivery device.

摘要: A supplementary device for attachment to a drug delivery device is provided. The device includes an attachment mechanism for coupling the supplementary device to the drug delivery device, an imaging arrangement for providing image data representing a captured image of one or more numbers present on a number sleeve of the drug delivery device and a processor arrangement. The processor arrangement is configured to receive the image data; perform optical character recognition on the image data to determine a quantity of a currently set dose of medicament; cause display of the quantity of the currently set dose; process the image data to identify one or more characteristics of the number sleeve; determine from the identified characteristics whether the currently set dose is a permitted dose; and if the currently set dose is not a permitted dose, cause an indication that the currently set dose is not a permitted dose.

摘要: A method of recording a medicament dose using a data collection device comprises capturing, by a video camera of said data collection device, a video showing a medicament dose indicator of a medicament delivery device, adjusting a scale of an image of said medicament dose indicator in said video, adjusting said image for skew of one or more characters displayed on a component of the medicament delivery device in said video, determining the position of at least one of said one or more characters in the image, identifying the at least one character using optical character recognition and determining a medicament dose shown by the medicament dose indicator based on a result of said optical character recognition. The method may include determining whether more than one delivery of medicament is recorded in the video and, if so, whether said more than one delivery includes one or more prime shots, so that an overall dosage delivered to a user may be determined based on multiple determined medicament doses. A wearable electronic device comprising a video camera may be used to obtain and analyze the video, for example, using software provided in an “app”. The wearable electronic device may be configured to be worn on the head of a user, to capture the video from the user's point of view.

摘要: The present invention relates to a pen-type drug injection device, comprising a dose scale drum (22) and having a housing (12) with a window (14) covered by an optical filter (50), the dose scale drum being displaceable axially relative to the housing during dose setting such that the dose value set can be read through the window while at least a portion of the dose scale drum protrudes from the housing. The dose values (42) are printed on an information surface (40) of the drum as an illegible pattern (48) together with a coding pattern (44), wherein the dose values (42) and the coding pattern (44) are designed such that light (52) reflected by or emanating from the illegible pattern (48) interacts with the optical filter (50) in such a way that the dose values (42) are exclusively recognizable through the optical filter (50) but not on the part of the dose scale drum protruding from the housing. The optical filter can be a color filter or a polarization filter in order to achieve the desired effect. In this way confusion of the actually set dose value and dose values which would otherwise be visible on the part of the dose scale drum protruding from the housing can be avoided during dose setting.
