摘要： Methods for producing clean liquid/wax products from a slurry used in a Fischer-Tropsch reactor are disclosed. In general, one embodiment of the present invention comprises a solid/liquid filtration system having a filter medium comprising a substrate and a filter cake deposited on the substrate, wherein the filter cake is generated by deposition of solids from the slurry. The thickness of the filter cake can be maintained within a desired range by controlling the slurry velocity and/or the pressure differential across the filter medium. This invention relates to a method of operation of such filtration system which increases filtration cycle time and improved filtrate quality resulting in very low solid content in filtrate.

摘要： A method and apparatus for filtering a slurry utilizing a displacement filtering principle. The filter apparatus desirably includes an inner filter and an outer filter. Both the inner and outer filters are preferably substantially annular in shape and positioned concentrically with respect to each other. A particulate collection volume is at least partially defined between the inner and outer filter. The method includes directing a flow of slurry into the particulate collection volume under sufficient pressure to force fluid within the particulate collection volume through one of the inner and outer filters and any particulate matter blocking a filtering surface of the inner and outer filters.

摘要： A screw press apparatus has frames, a screw shaft, an outside tube, a cylindrical screen, a screw blade, a supply pipe, and a cleaning pipe. The screen is fixed between the frames to the outside tube, and has a plurality of fine holes and covers the screw shaft. The screw shaft and the screen define a cylindrical space continuously extending from an upstream region to a downstream region. Raw liquid is fed from the supply pipe via an opening of the screw shaft to the upstream region of the cylindrical space. The cleaning pipe ejects cleaning water onto the screen. Sizes of the fine holes of the screen decrease gradually from the upstream region towards the downstream region.

摘要： An effluent processing arrangement which takes liquid effluent from primary treatment. In a first stage the liquid is filtered. In a second stage the filtrate is treated to neutralize bacterial and other contaminants and then in a third stage is sprayed under pressure into the atmosphere to evaporate it. An air blower can be used to assist evaporation. Provision is made for flocculation of effluent and for backwashing of the filter. The main purpose of the arrangement is for treatment of septic tank effluent.

摘要： Method and apparatus of concentrating solids from a suspension by feeding material in a liquid medium to a first zone that includes a vertically oriented foraminous filter basket supported by circular bands which are connected to an open frame basket supporting cage. Rotary impeller arms significantly spaced from the basket inclined from the vertical and located about midway of the lower half of the basket impart a circular laminar movement to the material. A vertical cylindrical tank surrounds the basket. Filtrate is collected in the annular region between the basket and tank. Discharge outlets with rate of discharge controls extend outwardly and downwardly from the bottom of the separator apparatus. Operation can be batch or continuous with level of filtrate in the tank being maintained on a par with the level of the feed in the basket.
