    摘要: A rotary moving bed and process for separating a carbon dioxide from a gas stream is disclosed. The rotary moving bed can have a rotational assembly rotating on a vertical axis, and a plurality of sorbent cells positioned horizontally to the axis of rotation that fills a vertical space in the moving bed, where the sorbent cells adsorb the carbon dioxide by concentration swing adsorption and adsorptive displacement. The sorbent can be regenerated and the carbon dioxide recaptured by desorbing the carbon dioxide from the sorbent using concentration swing adsorption and desorptive displacement with steam. The gas flows in the system flow in a direction horizontal to the axis of rotation and in a direction opposite the rotational movement of the sorbent cells.

The system includes a fluidized absorber for contacting a feed gas with a sorbent stream to reduce the impurity content of the feed gas; a fluidized solids regenerator for contacting an impurity loaded sorbent stream with a regeneration gas to reduce the impurity content of the sorbent stream; a first non-mechanical gas seal forming solids transfer device adapted to receive an impurity loaded sorbent stream from the absorber and transport the impurity loaded sorbent stream to the regenerator at a controllable flow rate in response to an aeration gas; and a second non-mechanical gas seal forming solids transfer device adapted to receive a sorbent stream of reduced impurity content from the regenerator and transfer the sorbent stream of reduced impurity content to the absorber without changing the flow rate of the sorbent stream.

An entrance louver and an exit louver are provided for forming a packed moving bed of an adsorbent that moves downward inside the tower body, the apparatus has a throttle portion provided with a side panel that is inclined so that a spacing gradually decreases toward a discharging device, the throttle portion being provided between the tower body and the discharging device, and first partitions are provided inside the throttle portion. A second partition extending along the incline direction of the side panel is provided at a predetermined distance from the bottom end of the exit louver above the side panel, and a gap is provided between the bottom end part of the exit louver and the side panel of the throttle portion.

    摘要: A method and a system to remove relatively pure carbon dioxide directly from ambient air. The method comprises generating process heat, to co-generate substantially saturated steam; alternately and repeatedly exposing a sorbent to a flow of ambient air, at substantially ambient conditions, to sorb, and therefore remove, carbon dioxide from said ambient air, and exposing the CO2-laden sorbent to a flow of the co-generated steam, at a temperature in the range of not greater than about 130° C, to release the carbon dioxide, thereby regenerating the sorbent, and capturing relatively pure carbon dioxide. To render this process more efficient, admix with the air a minor amount of a pre-treated effluent gas containing a higher concentration of carbon dioxide than in the atmosphere. The captured carbon dioxide can be stored for further use, or sequestered permanently. The purified carbon dioxide is useful for agriculture or chemical processes.

An educator (35) transports the processed sorbent (28) to a distributor (36) that injects it into the flue gases at a contact location having a temperature between 500° F. and 900° F., whereupon the sorbent (28) adsorbs mercury from the flue gas. A particle collection device (24) removes the processed sorbent (28) having adsorbed mercury, from the flue gas.

    摘要: A two-stage granular moving-bed filter includes a gas inlet part, a gas outlet part, and a plurality of flow-corrective elements. The gas outlet part is disposed opposite to the gas inlet part, and the plurality of flow-corrective elements is disposed in a channel formed between the gas inlet part and gas outlet part. Meanwhile, a first granular material is provided to flow through a channel formed between the gas inlet part and the flow-corrective element in a state of mass flow, and a second granular material is provided to flow through a channel formed between the flow-corrective element and the gas outlet part. By means of having two different kinds of filter media moving through the channels between the gas inlet and outlet part, it is capable of performing two-stage filtering process after the raw gas flows therethrough, so as to improve the filtering effect of the gas.
