    摘要： An adhesive backed removable carpet tile comprising a foam backing and a carpet layer is disclosed which may be applied to a subfloor and subsequently removed therefrom without delaminating the foam backing. The adhesive provides a release strength lower than the delamination strength of the foam backing. To provide the proper release strength, the adhesive is applied to the foam backing by a figurated roller to cover between 10 and 50 percent of the foam backing.

The matting article can include a lofty nonwoven web of entangled fibers and a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating. The lofty nonwoven web can include organic crimped staple fibers which can be adhesively bonded together by a binder resin to form a three dimensional network of intercommunicated voids constituting at least 75% of the volume. The matting article can have a maximum density of 95 kilograms per cubic meter. The process can include forming a nonwoven web of crimped staple organic fibers; coating the nonwoven web with a binder resin; heat curing the coated nonwoven web; and applying a pressure-sensitive adhesive to a first major surface of the coated nonwoven web.

    摘要： A covering system is designed as an elongated strip of covering material having an outer layer, a barrier layer laminated thereto and an integral moldable layer secured to the barrier layer for mounting on the surface of boards, such as deck planks. In a preferred embodiment, the method of application includes securing the strips to the length of the boards by unrolling a portion of the strip and securing the strip to the surface of a board solely by a layer of a pressure sensitive adhesive carried by the strip. The moldable material is applied in an amount of about at least 185 grams per square meter. A removable release sheet covers the adhesive surface of the moldable material. The release sheet can include a positioning mechanism and indicia such as the direction of the pile and measuring guides. The moldable layer provides sufficient adhesion across the width of the strip for both initial application and sufficient thickness for subsequently molding to the board surface for long term adhesion. The barrier layer is impermeable and provides protection against dermal contact with the surface of treated lumber.
