An opening and closing device for moving a movable member which includes a drive gear connected to a power source, a driven gear geared with the drive gear, an immovable portion supporting the drive gear and the driven gear, and a dynamic transmission mechanism connected to the driven gear so that the driven gear and the dynamic transmission mechanism rotate together as a unit. The dynamic transmission mechanism transmits a drive force of the power source from the driven gear to the movable member. A direction of a rotational force affecting the driven gear via the dynamic transmission mechanism in accordance with a state of the movable member fluctuates. The opening and closing device further includes a friction member located at least at one position between relatively movable facing surfaces of the immovable portion, the drive gear, the driven gear, and the dynamic power transmission mechanism.

A door closer, comprising a door closer housing mounted to one of a door frame or a door surface and a linkage arm for pivoting the door between open and closed positions. The linkage arm has a first and second end, the first end mounted to the other of the door frame or the door surface. The door closer includes a rotatable connector between the linkage arm and the door closer housing, the linkage arm second end engaging with the rotatable connector. The connector has a rotatable body portion and head protrusion substantially secured in a female receptor to transmit rotation about a longitudinal axis of the connector. One or both of the head protrusion or female receptor has a curved profile and is further movable with respect to the head protrusion to permit limited rotational misalignment of the linkage arm on any axis perpendicular to the connector longitudinal axis.

A spindle drive for an adjusting element of a motor vehicle includes a drive motor with a spindle-spindle nut gear arranged downstream for producing a drive force along a geometric spindle axis. Two connectors are provided for transferring the drive force and at least one connector includes a ball joint with a ball socket and an assigned ball. The ball socket includes a ball socket housing with a connecting piece. It is proposed that the ball socket in the ball socket housing has a damping shell and a bearing shell in the damping shell for the positive engagement with the ball so that the flux of force for the drive force passes via the damping shell and the bearing shell.

The present disclosure includes a hinge assembly for use in a hinged attachment of a panel relative to a frame and providing movement of the panel relative to the frame. A link which provides an extension or reach motion and positioning of the assembly, shown for purposes of illustration and not limitation in the form of a gooseneck arm, is provided in the hinge assembly to facilitate an extended range of motion of the hinge assembly. A first spherical bearing assembly and a second spherical bearing assembly are operatively associated with a bearing end of the link to provide multiple degrees of motion while securely retaining the panel relative to the frame. The hinge is intended to provide universal application of a single version of a hinge which can be used in multiple locations as facilitated by the multiple degrees of motion provided by the bearing end of the link

A door opening and closing device includes: a motor; an output shaft configured to output power of the motor; a transmission mechanism configured to transmit the power of the motor to the output shaft; and an accommodation member configured to accommodate the motor and the transmission mechanism. The door opening and closing device is installed in a vehicle main body or a door supported by the vehicle main body in an openable and closable manner, thereby opening and closing the door by the power that is output from the output shaft. The accommodation member is cylindrical in shape, and the motor and the transmission mechanism are accommodated in the accommodation member so that the motor, the transmission mechanism, and the output shaft are arranged in an axial direction of a rotary shaft of the motor.

A stationery bearing part (15) is provided for a joint part (20) supported thereon in such a way that the joint part can be swiveled. The joint part bears the disk (11) and has a substantially horizontal swivel axis (12). The disk (11) can be swiveled about the swivel axis between a lowered position (11.1) and a raised position (11.2) in a substantially vertical swivel plane (13).
