摘要： An acoustical seal system that utilizes a sound absorbing material-based sound seal for the gap or flanking path between a closed door and the nearby surfaces (e.g., the door jam or frame and the floor). When the door is in a closed position, the acoustical seal system may leave a small gap around the door so that the door does not have to make contact with the surrounding structural components. The small gap is an air passage between the two adjacent rooms. The acoustical seal system includes a housing with one or more cavities. The housing is mounted on the sides of the door core or body or on the surrounding components such that the cavities face the small air gap when the door is in the closed position. The cavities are filled with sound-absorbing material, such as an acoustical foam, that is exposed to the air gap.

摘要： A pre-formed insert with stable dimensions for mechanical insertion into a hollow member and that reduces the Nusselt number and convection across the hollow member. The insert may be formed of a low heat conducting material like PVC and have extensions and internal voids that impede convection in the hollow and conduction through the insert. The inserts may be used in heads and sills of aluminum windows, doors and frames. In one embodiment, an insert is received in an open hollow and may cooperate with an insert in a frame hollow to decrease convection at the head end of a sliding window or door. An insert may be placed within the hollow of a window or door beside a roller assembly.

摘要： A door mounting frame structure for a refrigerated cabinet. Each elongated frame member has a longitudinal groove for receipt of a heater wire. A cover plate covers the heater wire groove and provides a surface for contact with a door-mounted gasket. One longitudinal edge of the cover plate is held in place by a longitudinal cover-plate-receiving groove formed in the frame member. The other longitudinal cover plate edge is secured by the covering head of a retainer strip. The strip has a foot portion adapted to be removably inserted in a longitudinal groove formed in the frame member.
