摘要： A valve bridge assembly is disclosed for an internal combustion engine. The assembly may have a valve bridge with a center portion, opposing lateral extensions, a bore passing through first and second ends of the center portion, and an internal annular shelf. The assembly may also have a cylindrical housing with a main portion, a tip portion protruding from the second end of the center portion, and a positioning flange resting on the internal annular shelf. The assembly may further have a plunger with a first end having a larger opening and a second end having a smaller opening. The first end may be disposed within the main portion of the cylindrical housing, and the second end may protrude from the first end of the center portion. The assembly may also have a valve assembly disposed within the larger opening of the plunger, and a spring disposed inside the cylindrical housing.

摘要： A mechanical system forming one of a cam follower or a rocker arm, the mechanical system comprising: a support element; a pin extending between two opposite ends along a first axis and supported by the support element; and a roller movable in rotation relative to the pin around the first axis and adapted to roll on a cam. At least one recess is formed within the pin or roller, wherein the at least one recess provides a lubricant reservoir at an interface between the pin and the roller. The mechanical system can be integrated into an injection pump or a valve actuator. The mechanical system is manufactured by forming the at least one recess within the pin or roller and assembling the parts together, wherein the recess provides a lubricant reservoir at an interface between the pin and the roller.

摘要： An internal combustion engine includes a cam chain chamber accommodating a cam chain and a chain guide guiding the cam chain. The engine also includes a chain tensioner including a case main body, a plunger sliding in the case main body, a coil spring biasing the chain guide against the cam chain via the plunger, interlocking teeth located on a surface of the plunger, and an engaging portion engaged with the interlocking teeth and configured to inhibit the plunger from moving in a direction away from the chain guide. The engine also includes oil supply passages in an inner wall of the cylinder head and an inner wall of the cylinder body and configured to supply oil to the chain tensioner.

摘要： A rocker arm for an internal combustion engine having overhead camshaft. The rocker arm includes an internal lubrication passage connecting the fulcrum socket and the cam pad. During engine operation oil is provided under pressure to the rocker arm from the fulcrum member and is discharged at the cam pad directly beneath the cam surface. The passage may include an oil reservoir beneath the cam pad which retains a predetermined quantity of oil when the engine is not in operation and which provides essentially instantaneous lubrication to the cam pad and cam surface upon start-up of the engine.

摘要： A cam cap is placed on a journal of a camshaft attached to a sprocket to constitute a bearing supporting the journal. The cam cap includes an accommodating groove in which a thrust plate provided on the journal is accommodated, an oil passage having an opening at a position facing a camshaft oil groove of the journal, the oil passage communicating with the accommodating groove, and an oil reservoir provided in a first sidewall of the accommodating groove. The cam cap is placed on the journal such that the accommodating groove is located at a position closer to the sprocket than is the opening of the oil passage. When the thrust plate is accommodated in the accommodating groove, the oil passage and the oil reservoir communicate with each other at a position outward of an outer peripheral edge of the thrust plate in a radial direction of the thrust plate.

摘要： An engine case includes bearings, an oil pump, lubricating oil passages, and a relief device. The bearings rotatably support a crankshaft and a camshaft. The oil pump and the lubricating oil passages are configured to pressure-feed lubricating oil to the bearings. The relief device is configured to adjust a pressure of the lubricating oil. The lubricating oil passages include main lubricating oil passages. The main lubricating oil passages include communication portions linearly formed with extending portions. The communication portions communicate between the respective bearings of the crankshaft and the camshaft from outside the engine case. The extending portions extend from outside the engine case to the bearing of the camshaft. The relief device is disposed having a relief valve and a relief hole at the extending portions.
