摘要: A decoding unit for decoding a signal modulating a plurality of symbols wherein each symbol carries a plurality of information which are code-division multiplexed in the time domain and in the frequency domain and wherein each information is associated with a known sequence of phase rotations, the phase in the known sequence varying deterministically between the plurality of symbols. The decoding unit first performs a phase rotation of the received plurality of symbols, then performs the time-domain despreading operation and finally performs the frequency-domain despreading operation.A processor, a receiver, a method and a computer program are also claimed.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for minimizing scheduling collisions between networks. In one embodiment, the networks are substantially unsynchronized, and during hybrid network operation (e.g., LTE and CDMA 1X operation), a mobile device can place CDMA 1X voice calls while registered with the LTE network. However, since the LTE and CDMA 1X networks are not coordinated, the mobile device will experience scheduling collisions. In one variant, the LTE network accounts for predictable behaviors (such as CDMA 1X paging), and schedules low priority tasks during likely time interval conflicts. Consequently, even though the mobile device must tune away from the LTE network to check CDMA 1X pages, overall LTE network performance is minimally affected.

摘要: A method of generating the correlation function of a TMBOC(6,1,4/33) signal according to the present invention includes generating a signal delayed based on a phase delay 2 with respect to a signal pulse train of a TMBOC(6,1,4/33)-modulated received signal, generating 12 partial correlation functions by performing the autocorrelation operation of the received signal and the delayed signal with respect to a total time T(OT) , generating a sub-correlation function by performing an elimination operation of sixth and seventh partial correlation functions, and generating a main correlation function by summing results obtained by performing elimination operations between the remaining 10 partial correlation functions, excluding the sixth and seventh early partial correlation functions from the 12 partial correlation functions, and the sub-correlation function. The elimination operation is an operation satisfying algebraic relations in which |A|+|B|−|A−B|=0 when real numbers A and B are AB≦0 and |A|+|B|−|A−B|>0 when the real numbers A and B are AB>0 .

摘要: A disclosed transmission apparatus includes a multiplexing portion that multiplexes a common pilot channel, a shared control channel, and a shared data channel; a symbol generation portion that performs an inverse Fourier transformation on the multiplexed signal so as to generate a symbol; and a transmission portion that transmits the generated symbol. The multiplexing portion multiplexes the shared control channel including control information necessary for demodulation of the shared data channel including a payload and the common pilot channel to be used by plural users in a frequency direction, and the shared data channel in a time direction with respect to the common pilot channel and the shared control channel. Even when the number of symbols composing a transmission time interval (TTI) is reduced, transmission efficiency of channels excluding the common pilot channel can be maintained by reducing insertion intervals of the common pilot channel accordingly.

摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for generating a code book for use in a CDMA system. The code book comprises of a plurality of vectors that are used to encode user data. An amplitude and polarity for each vector in the code book are selected to provide a reduced peak-to-average power ratio. The amplitude values can be selected to provide a reduced peak-to-average power ratio while maintaining a desired average energy per chip. The desired energy per chip can be based on the energy per chip of a CDMA system having a lower order spreading factor. Performance can be further improved by employing a first code book under a first signal-to-noise ratio condition and a second code book under a second signal-to-noise ratio condition.

摘要: Methods for improving memory resource allocation at a base station of a wireless communications system, based on a virtual minimum spreading factor, may include computing a maximum traffic-to-pilot (T2P) power ratio for a UE, and sending a grant message to the UE specifying the maximum T2P power ratio. The base station may determine a largest minimum spreading factor (SF) for the UE based on the computed maximum T2P power ratio. The base station may allocate a memory buffer for storing minimum SF signal samples, receive one or more spread spectrum signals from the UE, and partially despread the received signals using the largest minimum SF, thereby preparing partially despread signal samples in the memory buffer. The base station may receive, from the UE, information about the actual SF used by the UE, and despread the partially despread signal samples stored in the memory buffer using the actual SF.
