Abstract:
An image reading system and an image reading apparatus is provided. The system or apparatus includes a reading unit configured to read an original, a determining unit configured to determine whether there exists a folded portion at a corner of the original, and a generating unit configured to generate a file including an image area which stores image data of the original read by the reading unit and a non-image area which stores data other than the image data, and configured to write fold information in the non-image area if the determining unit determines that there exists a folded portion, the fold information indicating that the folded portion exists in the read original.
Abstract:
A multiplex system such as copying system is supplied capable of improving read speed. The multiplex system comprises a scanner to read manuscript and generate image data, and a printer to print the image data generated by the scanner; in the scanner, a scan page data storing section stores the image data; in the printer, a scanner controlling section controls status information of the scan page data storing section, and outputs a read instruction of one page manuscript to the scanner on the basis of the status information.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus transfers image data stored in a first storing part of a side of a first control part to a side of a writing engine. A second storing part temporarily stores the image data from said first storing part. When data stored in the second storing part reaches a data amount to be previously stored in order that continuous transfer of the image data to the side of the writing engine from the second storing part is available at a predetermined transfer rate, even when a predetermined delay occurs in a transfer operation of the image data from the first storing part to the second storing part, reading of the image data from the second storing part is started for starting image forming operation.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a document reader, a storage for storing image data, an image output unit and a control unit. The control unit includes a display image generator for generating a display image, a display panel and a control unit-side controller having a function of presenting the display image based on the image data input in a preview representation and an output processing function of implementing an output process. As the output processing function, two schemes are provided: a first output scheme wherein, when image data has been input through the input unit, the images are output after displaying the images to be output in a preview representation on a display panel, and a second output scheme wherein, when image data has been input through the input unit, the image is directly output without displaying the image to be output in a preview representation on the display panel.
Abstract:
There is described an image forming system, which makes it possible to speedily implement the reprinting operation, and to alleviate the burden of the printer controller. The system includes a printer controller to parse a print job described in a Page Description Language so as to generate image data; and an image forming apparatus, configured separately from the printer controller, to implement a printing operation based on the image data. The printer controller applies a first processing to the print job so as to generate multi-value image data and transmits the multi-value image data to the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus applies a second processing to the multi-value image data, received from the printer controller, so as to generate processed image data, serving as printable image data based on which a reproduced image can be directly printed, and implements the printing operation based on the processed image data.
Abstract:
An optical reading device, a control method for an optical reading device, and a program for directing execution of the method each enables efficient and quick transmission of digital image data obtained from reading a document to a host computer or other control device. A dot impact printer having an optical reading device that optically reads documents and stores the resulting digitized image data, sets target reading areas, and transmits digital image data stored in a scan buffer rendered in a RAM to the host computer. When multiple target areas are set, the transmission order of the target areas is determined according to specific conditions, and the target areas are transmitted according to this transmission sequence.
Abstract:
A disclosed image forming apparatus includes: an image data input unit inputting image data; an image data storage unit storing the image data; a storage method change unit changing a storage method of the image data; an image data output unit outputting the image data; an available capacity detection unit detecting available capacity of the image data storage unit; an available capacity judgment unit judging whether the available capacity is not more than a predetermined value; and a storage method selection unit prompting selection of a storage method performed by the image data storage unit. When the available capacity is judged to be not more than the predetermined value, the storage method selection unit prompts the selection of a storage method, the storage method change unit changes the storage method of the image data, and the image data output unit outputs image data.
