An electronic device includes a band configured to be worn on the head of a user. The band has a central portion and first and second temple portions extending therefrom. The central portion is configured to contact a portion of the face of a user, and the temple portions are configured to contact portions of the head of the user near ears thereof. An operational unit having a display element is affixed to the first temple portion and includes a housing having an arm defining a longitudinal axis. The housing also includes an elbow portion defining a display end that supports the display element such that it extends along a display axis angled with respect to the longitudinal axis and such that the display element is positionable over an eye of the user. Image generating means are disposed within the housing for generating an image presentable on the display element.
Abstract:
A wireless module for providing wireless transmission of audio to an audio playback apparatus, such as a set of headphones or speakers, is provided. The wireless module may include a wireless transceiver configured for receiving an audio stream, an audio output interface configured for sending an audio output stream, and a fastener for fastening the wireless transceiver to the audio playback apparatus. The fastener may be a spring loaded grasping fastener, a magnetic or sticky fastener, a clamping fastener or a clip fastener.

An earphone set that comprises a paired set of earphones to be worn simultaneously by a user is disclosed. Each earphone in the paired set comprises at least one acoustic transducer for producing sound to be heard by the user. At least one of the earphones in the pair set comprises a transceiver circuit and at least one button. The transceiver circuit is for wirelessly receiving and transmitting signals via a wireless network. The at least one button is accessible to the user at an exterior of the at least one earphone. Upon activation of the at least one button by the user, an indication for a song played by the pair of earphones is caused to be transmitted wirelessly, by the transceiver circuit via the wireless network, to a remote server connected to the Internet. The song played by the pair of earphones may be streamed from a digital audio content server connected to the Internet.

A system comprising a wireless network adapter and a pair of earphone. The wireless network adapter is external to a digital audio player and configured to connect to the digital audio player via an audio jack of the digital audio player. The wireless network adapter is for encoding analog audio received from the digital audio player into digital format and wirelessly transmitting the digitally-formatted audio. The pair of earphones is in direct wireless communication with the wireless network adapter and are configured to be worn simultaneously by a user. Each earphone in the pair of earphones comprises: (i) a transceiver that is for receiving the digitally-formatted audio from the wireless network adapter via the wireless network, and converting the digitally-formatted audio received via the wireless network to analog audio signals; and (ii) at least one acoustic transducer connected to the transceiver, wherein the at least one acoustic transducer is for outputting the analog audio signals.

A holster provides a carrier for removable storing a portable electronic device, such as a cellular phone, PDA or MP3 player, and a fastener for securing the carrier to the user's clothing or bag. The holster can include a fastener for attaching the holster to an article; a carrier attached to the fastener; and a docking station having electrical contacts for interfacing with electrical contacts of the portable electronic device. The docking station can be pivotable relative to the carrier about a pivot axis at an end of the docking station adjacent the electrical contacts. The fastener can be removable. The docking station can include a rechargeable battery electrically connected to the electrical contacts of the docking station for providing electrical charge from the battery to a portable electronic device when connected to the docking station.

Provided is a wireless headphone including two earphones each including a plate, a housing, a cap for securing the housing to the plate, a winding mechanism provided in the plate, and a cable wound in the winding mechanism and having a male plug at one end; and a playing device (e.g., MP4 player) fastened on the plate of either earphone by the cap, the playing device including a female port adapted to securely, matingly receive the male plug. Pulling the playing device with the cable being pulled resiliently will enable a user to listen to music and/or watch pictures shown on the playing device. A further pulling of the playing device or the cable will retract the playing device to engage with the earphone.
