摘要: Embodiments of the present invention relate to the field of wireless communications. Disclosed are a time slot state update method and device, which are used to improve the time flexibility during update of the time slot state. In the present invention, a communications node determines an update period of a time slot state table, the update period comprising x continuous time slots and x being an integer not less than 1 and not greater than the total of the time slots comprised in one frame; and the communications node updating the time slot state table after the update period ends. It can be seen that, the solution can improve the time flexibility during update of the time slot state.

摘要: An architecture for transporting radio samples, compressed samples or pre-processed radio samples in symbol form across a communication network, including a packet switched network such as Ethernet. Further, the conversion of the radio samples from streaming data to a packetized format can also be performed. Processing of radio samples can be performed in a centralized location, where the centralized location can service multiple radio heads that are located across a large geographical area. This centralized processing can be referred to as Cloud-RAN. The radio heads can also perform pre-processing to reduce effective data rates across the communication network. Further, one or more of the components of the communication network can perform timing synchronization utilizing, for example, Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE) and/or IEEE 1588.

摘要: A method of operating a mobile wireless network is described to ensure proper function of protocol entities during the transmission of data units between two wireless stations of the mobile wireless network. In this case, user data is assembled by a first convergence protocol layer of the first wireless station into at least one first data unit, particularly a packet data unit, before transmission to a second convergence protocol layer of a second wireless station, particularly on the same protocol level, with the user data being supplied to the first convergence protocol layer by at least one user in a network layer. At least one protocol entity of the first convergence protocol layer is configured as a function of a configuration request received by the second wireless station, in order to form the at least one first data unit from the data received from the at least one user and to transmit it through a carrier to a link control layer.

摘要: In one embodiment, a wireless system comprises a host MSC/VLR of a public land mobile network (PLMN) and a plurality of base station subsystems (BSSs). Each BSS includes a respective base station controller (BSC) and one or more base transceiver stations (BTSs). The wireless system further comprises a virtual base station controller (VBSC) communicatively coupled to the plurality of BSSs and the host MSC/VLR. The VBSC appears, from the perspective of the host MSCNLR, to be a base station controller for the BTSs in the plurality of BSSs. The VBSC and at least some of the BSSs include functionality for locally switching calls in the BSSs.
