The recoater blade system includes a blade body with a longitudinal length between a first end and a second end, and a sensor device associated with the blade body. The sensor device is configured to receive inputs relating to characteristics of a powder bed. The inputs may include drag force of the blade body across the powder bed and impact force on the blade body, and these inputs may determine the spreading quality of the blade body and any surface defects that may be present.

摘要: A copper alloy powder is a copper alloy powder for additive manufacturing. The copper alloy powder contains more than 1.00 mass % and not more than 2.80 mass % of chromium, and a balance of copper. A method for producing an additively-manufactured article includes a first step of preparing a copper alloy powder containing more than 1.00 mass % and not more than 2.80 mass % of chromium and a balance of copper and a second step of producing the additively-manufactured article from the copper alloy powder, and the additively-manufactured article is produced such that forming a powder layer including the copper alloy powder, and solidifying the copper alloy powder at a predetermined position in the powder layer to form a shaped layer are sequentially repeated to stack such shaped layers to thus produce the additively-manufactured article.

摘要: In an embodiment, a method of manufacturing customized ceramic labial/lingual orthodontic brackets by additive manufacturing may comprise measuring dentition data of a profile of teeth of a patient, based on the dentition data, creating a three dimensional computer-assisted design (3D CAD) model of the patient's teeth, and saving the 3D CAD model, designing a virtual 3D CAD bracket structure model for a single labial or lingual bracket structure based upon said 3D CAD model, importing data related to the 3D CAD bracket structure model into an additive manufacturing machine, and directly producing the bracket with the additive manufacturing machine by layer manufacturing from an inorganic material including at least one of a ceramic, a polymer-derived ceramic, and a polymer-derived metal.

An indication of a proportion of the first object which is solid may be determined, and, based thereon, a dimensional compensation value may be determined. The determined dimensional compensation value may be applied to the object model data to determine modified object model data.

摘要: A hydrogen storage system includes a hydrogen storage alloy containment vessel comprising an external pressure containment vessel and a thermally conductive compartmentalization network disposed within the pressure containment vessel. The compartmentalization network creates compartments within the pressure vessel within which a hydrogen storage alloy is disposed. One or both of the compartmentalization network and the pressure vessel may be formed by a 3D printing process, such as by Selective Laser Melting (SLM) and/or Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS). The hydrogen storage alloy is a non-pyrophoric AB2 Laves phase hydrogen storage alloy having: an A-site to B-site elemental ratio of not more than 0.5; and an alloy composition including (in at %): Zr: 2.0-5.5, Ti: 27-31.3, V: 8.3-9.9, Cr: 20.6-30.5, Mn: 25.4-33.0, Fe: 1.0-5.9, Al: 0.1-0.4, and/or Ni: 0.0-4.0.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for optimally positioning objects for automated machining are described herein. An example build file generator described herein includes an object file manager to identify a first toolpath volume associated with a first object to be formed via an additive manufacturing (AM) process. The first toolpath volume is based on a first toolpath of a first post-manufacturing process to be used on the first object. The object file manager is also to identify a second toolpath volume associated with a second object to be formed via the AM process. The second toolpath volume is based on a second toolpath of a second post-manufacturing process to be used on the second object. The example build file generator also includes a layout determiner to determine a layout of the first and second objects to be formed on a substrate by the AM process based on the first and second toolpath volumes.
