摘要: An IR and/or UV machine-readable optical security device (e.g., micro-optic security thread) that is made up of at least one IR-absorbing component with a characteristic IR signature detectable at two or more IR-wavelengths, at least one UV-absorbing component with a characteristic UV signature detectable at two or more UV-wavelengths, at least one IR-absorbing component that absorbs IR light and emits light at a different invisible wavelength, at least one UV-absorbing component that absorbs UV light and emits light at a different invisible wavelength, or a combination thereof, is provided. The IR and UV machine-readable features do not interfere with the optical effects projected by the optical material.

摘要: A security device is disclosed that has an image formed upon a substrate. The image has a first printed region and a second different printed region both printed with a same ink formulation of field alignable flakes. At least one of the printed regions has optically variable effects. One of the first and second printed regions at least partially surrounds the other. The second printed region is formed of thin parallel lines and the first printed region has substantially wider lines than are printed in the second printed region. The area density of the ink in a line in the first group of wider lines is greater than the area density of a line in the second group of narrower lines. A surprising effect of this image is that particles or flakes in the ink are field aligned so as to produce a visible kinematic dynamic effect visible in the first region and not visible in the second region when the image is tilted or rotated.

The user device may determine, based on the first sensor data and the second sensor data, one or more characteristics of a security feature of the security article. The user device may determine, based on the one or more characteristics of the security feature, whether the security article is authentic. The user device may cause, based on determining whether the security article is authentic, one or more actions to be performed.

The light-emitting QR code includes a QR code pattern formed by means of gravure printing using a nonconductor ink.

摘要: A structure for secure containment of information (SSCI) that is in the form of a laminate which includes at least two layers. The laminate is constructed to contain information such as a code, serial number, informational feature, encryption key or personal identification number (PIN). The information is located between the layer of the laminate such that the code, serial number, informational feature, encryption key, or PIN is not detectable from outside the laminate. The SSCI is configured to provide access and expose the code, serial number, informational feature, encryption key, or PIN by delaminating at least one layer, thereby indicating that tampering has occurred to the laminate. The SSCI can also function as a public key or private key for a blockchain, to provide access to a physical lock or to provide account access to claim financial value.

摘要: Methods and systems disclosed herein may communicate information, such as alerts and notifications, to a cardholder via a color-changing transaction card. In particular, the cardholder may configure one or more thresholds that establish when a transaction card may change colors. For instance, a transaction card may change colors at, or while approaching, a first threshold. The transaction card may change colors at, or while approaching, a second threshold. When the cardholder's balance goes below the thresholds, the transaction card may revert back to the lower threshold color or the original color of the transaction card. Using the techniques described herein a financial institution may convey information to a cardholder in a way that does not require the cardholder to digitally engage with the financial institution.
