摘要: A method and a system for forming a pentagonal woven fabric including a pentagon pattern loom. The pentagon pattern loom includes loom pins. The loom pins are arranged in a pentagonal pattern to form a structure for engaging a continuous yarn strand. The loom pins include a first pin, a second pin, a third pin, a fourth pin, and a fifth pin positioned at the edges of the pentagonal pattern with center pins therebetween. A bias weaving process uses the continuous yarn strand for forming a top woven triangle fabric section, a bottom woven triangle fabric section, and a middle section of parallel yarn strand portions of the single continuous yarn strand. A second continuous weaving uses the continuous yarn strand as weft strands in the middle section of parallel yarn strand portions for forming a rectangular woven fabric section with remaining loom pins of the pentagonal pattern.

摘要: A method and system for forming a hexagonal woven fabric provide a hexagonal pattern loom including loom pins arranged in a hexagonal pattern to form a structure for engaging a continuous yarn strand. The loom pins form a top angled side of the hexagonal pattern and a bottom angled side of the hexagonal pattern. A set of the loom pins form two opposite straight sides of the hexagonal pattern forming the hexagonal pattern loom. A bias weaving process uses the continuous yarn strand for forming a top woven triangle fabric section, a bottom woven triangle fabric section, and a middle section of parallel yarn strand portions of the single continuous yarn strand. Traditional back-and-forth weaving uses the continuous yarn strand as weft strands in the middle section of parallel yarn strand portions for forming a rectangular woven fabric section. A hexagonal woven fabric uses the continuous yarn strand.

摘要: A fiber texture presents the shape of a strip extending in a longitudinal direction over a determined length between a proximal portion and a distal portion, and in a lateral direction over a determined width between first and second lateral edges. The fiber texture presents three-dimensional or multilayer weaving. The proximal portion of the fiber texture includes an end portion extending in the lateral direction so as to be set back from at least one of the first and second lateral edges and over a determined width that is less than the width of the fiber texture. The end portion projects in the longitudinal direction from at least one longitudinal edge of the fiber texture, the end portion extending in the longitudinal direction between a first end connected to the fiber texture and a free, second end opposite from the first end.

摘要: A tubular woven implantable graft having a tapered section is provided. The graft comprises a first diameter and a second diameter and has a generally constant number of warp yarns per inch adjacent both the first diameter and the second diameter. A method for producing an implantable woven graft is also provided. The method includes weaving a first section having a first diameter and a tapered diameter tapering from the first diameter to a second diameter. During weaving of the tapered section a number of warp yarns are dropped from the weave and compressive forces are applied to the fabric to narrow the width of the fabric.

摘要: Elongate woven pulling means (10) for an airbag module comprises plural longitudinal portions (12, 14, 16, 18, 20) that have different warp densities. An airbag module for a vehicle safety system comprises an airbag, pulling means (10) coupled to the airbag and an activation unit coupled to the pulling means for releasing the pulling means upon actuation of the activation unit. The pulling means (10) is an elongate woven pulling means having different warp densities which is fastened to the airbag by a first end portion (12) of low warp density, preferably by stitching, and is coupled to the activation unit by a longitudinal portion (16) of high warp density. A method of manufacturing such pulling means (10) comprises the steps of: weaving a longitudinal portion (12; 20) on a loom of low warp density; and weaving a further longitudinal portion (16; 14, 18) on the loom having high or increasing warp density in the same working step. For weaving an adjustable reed having different widths is employed.
