Abstract: According to one embodiment, a semiconductor substrate, comprising, a first semiconductor layer and a second semiconductor layer that overlap a scanning line, an insulating layer that covers the first semiconductor layer and the second semiconductor layer, and a signal line, wherein the insulating layer has a first opening including a pair of long sides and a pair of short sides, the long sides of the first opening are parallel to the second direction, and the short sides of the first opening are parallel to the first direction, and the signal line is connected to the first semiconductor layer and the second semiconductor layer via the first opening.

Abstract: The organic electroluminescence display device of an embodiment of the present invention includes a substrate, a plurality of pixels formed on the substrate, and a sealing film that covers the plurality of pixels. The sealing film includes a first barrier layer, a base layer covering the top surface of the first barrier layer, an inter layer locally formed on the top surface of the base layer, and a second barrier layer covering the top surface of the base layer and the top surface of the inter layer. The inter layer is formed so as to cover a step on the top surface of the base layer.

Abstract: A display device includes an array substrate including a display region arranged with pixels and a peripheral region outside the display region, a counter substrate facing the array substrate, and a liquid crystal layer between the array substrate and the counter substrate. The display region includes a plurality of scanning signal lines extending in a first direction and arranged in a second direction intersecting the first direction, and a plurality of data signal lines extending in the second direction and arranged in the first direction. The peripheral region comprises a first wiring pattern having a first grid pattern formed with a plurality of first wirings connecting the plurality of scanning signal lines and a scanning signal line driver circuit and a plurality of dummy wirings, and a second wiring pattern having a second grid pattern formed with second wirings to be applied with a certain potential.

Abstract: An optical element includes first to fourth liquid crystal cells. Abstract: According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device with an optical sensor includes a display panel and a driver IC. The display panel includes first to third signal lines, an optical sensor including a photoelectric conversion element, and a sensor signal line that is connected to the optical sensor and transmits a detection signal to the driver IC. One first wiring line drawn from one terminal of the driver IC is connected to four switching elements. Three of the four switching elements are electrically connected to one of the first to third signal lines, respectively. Abstract: A liquid crystal display device comprising a TFT substrate having pixels each including a common electrode formed on an organic passivation film, an interlayer insulating film formed so as to cover the common electrode, a pixel electrode having a slit and formed on the interlayer insulating film, a through-hole formed in the organic passivation film and the interlayer insulating film, and a source electrode electrically conducted to the pixel electrode via the through-hole. A taper angle at a depth of D/2 of the through-hole is equal to or more than 50 degrees. The pixel electrode covers part of a side wall of the through-hole but does not cover the remaining part of the side wall of the through-hole. This configuration facilitates the alignment film material to flow into the through-hole, thereby solving a thickness unevenness of the alignment film in vicinity of the through-hole.
