Abstract: An air delivery system comprises an air handler enclosure having an inlet for enabling air to flow into the air handler enclosure and an outlet exhaust air out of the air handler enclosure. A blower is located in the air handler enclosure for drawing air through the inlet and exhausting air from the outlet. The system includes at least one sensor A2L refrigerant sensor for sensing the concentration of A2L refrigerant in the air delivery system, at least one auxiliary fan, and a controller is provided for receiving data from the A2L sensor, and powering the at least one auxiliary fan to reduce the concentration of A2L refrigerant below a predetermined threshold level.

Abstract: Methods and systems for controlling an electric motor using a motor controller including a processor are provided. The method includes transmitting, by the processor, a no-spin signal commanding the electric motor not to spin, receiving temperature information associated with a temperature of the electric motor, comparing the temperature information to a predetermined threshold temperature to determine whether the temperature is at a sufficient level to prevent icing, and adjusting current applied to the electric motor when the temperature measurement is below the predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A permanent magnet rotor core includes a plurality of rotor poles circumferentially-spaced about a central axis and including a first rotor pole and an adjacent second rotor pole that each include an outer wall, and wherein the rotor core includes a rotor diameter. The rotor core also includes a plurality of radial apertures alternately-spaced with the plurality of rotor poles. The rotor core also includes a first protrusion extending from the first rotor pole into a first radial aperture of the plurality of radial apertures positioned between the first rotor pole and the second rotor pole. The rotor core further includes a second protrusion extending from the second rotor pole into the first radial aperture such that a circumferential opening is defined between the first protrusion and the second protrusion. The opening extends a first length of between approximately 0.052% and approximately 0.058% of the rotor diameter.

Abstract: A fuse holder is disclosed. The fuse holder includes a housing having a fuse compartment and termination compartments, each termination compartment having a cable termination aperture for receiving a cable and a lock pin slot; a bus assembly disposed including current bars having a first end and a second end extending from the termination compartment to the termination compartment, the first end having fuse contacts extending from the first end, the second end including a barb extending from the second end; and, push-in clamps disposed within the termination compartment, the push-in clamps normally biased against the barbs; wherein insertion of an electrical cable into the cable termination aperture depresses and elastically deforms the push-in clamp such that a gap is formed between the barb and the push-in clamp, wherein the push-in clamp continuously applies a biasing force against the electrical cable non-removably clamping the cable into the termination aperture.

Abstract: A control system for an electric motor for a fluid moving apparatus includes a drive circuit and a processor. The drive circuit regulates power supplied to the motor to generate fluid flow. The processor is coupled to the drive circuit and controls the drive circuit to operate the motor at a first speed and torque, and at a second speed and torque, receive a first flow corresponding to the first speed and torque, determine a second flow based on a ratio of the first flow to the first speed, and corresponding to the second speed and torque. The processor is configured to define an algorithm based on the first and second speed, torque, and flow, compute a set point for a demanded flow using the algorithm, and control the drive circuit based on the set point to supply power to the motor and generate the flow.

Abstract: A blower assembly for a gas-burning appliance includes a blower and a motor coupled to the blower and configured to turn the blower to provide airflow through the gas-burning appliance. The blower assembly also includes a housing enclosing the blower and the motor. The housing includes a first portion and a second portion coupled to the first portion. The first portion and the second portion define a cavity therebetween to receive the motor and the blower. The blower assembly further includes an inlet sleeve coupled between the first portion and the second portion. The inlet sleeve is configured to couple to the gas-burning appliance and receive the airflow from the gas-burning appliance. The blower assembly also includes a seal extending at least partially around the inlet sleeve and at least partially between the inlet sleeve and at least one of the first portion and the second portion.

Abstract: A control system is provided for an electric motor configured to drive a fluid moving apparatus to generate a fluid-flow. The control system includes a drive circuit configured to regulate power supplied to a stator of the motor to turn a rotor and generate the fluid-flow, and a processor that computes a value proportional to at least one of a system resistance or a static pressure for the fluid moving apparatus based on a fixed set point for a first control parameter and a feedback parameter. The processor receives a fluid-flow rate demand and computes an operating set point for a second control parameter based on the fluid-flow rate demand and the value proportional to the system resistance or the static pressure. The processor controls the drive circuit based on the operating set point to supply power to the motor and operate the fluid moving apparatus to generate the fluid-flow.
