Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for aligning each scheduling service in an optical transport network. When a cross scheduling unit in a cross board sends service data to each service board, inserts a frame header indication signal into the sent service data, data frames in the sent service data are aligned according to the frame header indication signal, each service board performs a delay to the above service data according to a service delay time when receiving the service data and extracting the frame header indication signal, after the delay time is up, encapsulates the service data to be scheduled and sends to the cross broad to be cached, aligned and scheduled. The present invention also discloses a system for aligning each scheduling service in an optical transport network.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for recording videos in a video call. The method includes: determining a key voice input end of the video call and acquiring an image of the key voice input end; storing audio data of the video call; synthesizing the acquired image and audio, and then writing the synthesized image and audio into a recorded video file. The present invention solves the defect that the existing video call methods can not record flexibly by determining a source of a key voice, acquiring an image corresponding to the key voice, and synthesizing the image and a recorded audio, so that the sound and the image in the recorded video can be displayed correspondingly, and since only the image of the key voice input end in the call is displayed, the image in the recorded video is clearer.

Abstract: A method for constructing an avatar of a human subject includes acquiring a depth map of the subject, obtaining a virtual skeleton of the subject based on the depth map, and harvesting from the virtual skeleton a set of characteristic metrics. Such metrics correspond to distances between predetermined points of the virtual skeleton. In this example method, the characteristic metrics are provided as input to an algorithm trained using machine learning. The algorithm may be trained using a human model in a range of poses, and a range of human models in a single pose, to output a virtual body mesh as a function of the characteristic metrics. The method also includes constructing a virtual head mesh distinct from the virtual body mesh, with facial features resembling those of the subject, and connecting the virtual body mesh to the virtual head mesh.

Abstract: Arbitrarily and continuously scalable on-currents can be provided for fin field effect transistors by providing two independent variables for physical dimensions for semiconductor fins that are employed for the fin field effect transistors. A recessed region is formed on a semiconductor layer over a buried insulator layer. A dielectric cap layer is formed over the semiconductor layer. Disposable mandrel structures are formed over the dielectric cap layer and spacer structures are formed around the disposable mandrel structures. Selected spacer structures can be structurally damaged during a masked ion implantation. An etch is employed to remove structurally damaged spacer structures at a greater etch rate than undamaged spacer structures. After removal of the disposable mandrel structures, the semiconductor layer is patterned into a plurality of semiconductor fins having different heights and/or different width. Fin field effect transistors having different widths and/or heights can be subsequently formed.

Abstract: A method for replicating I/O performance in data replication environments, such as PPRC environments, is described. In selected embodiments, such a method includes monitoring I/O workload at a primary storage device over a period of time, such as a period of hours, days, or months. The method then generates learning data at the primary storage device describing the I/O workload over the selected time period. The learning data is replicated from the primary storage device to a secondary storage device. The method uses the learning data to optimize the secondary storage device to handle the I/O workload of the primary storage device. This will enable the secondary storage device to provide substantially the same I/O performance as the primary storage device in the event a failover occurs.
