The chip 100 includes a chip substrate 20, a reagent mixture 12 and potassium ferricyanide 11 that are immobilized leaving a space in between on the chip substrate 20. The reagent mixture 12 includes at least one selected from NADP and NADPH, malate dehydrogenase, and a substrate of malate dehydrogenase. The chip 100 further includes diaphorase, immobilized on the chip substrate 20, as a part of or a component other than the reagent mixture 12.
Abstract:
A rotation angle detector is provided with a spring to thrust a rotary body against protrusions formed on an inner wall of an opening via a detector body in a manner to keep the rotary body rotatable without any play in a linked motion with a steering shaft. As a result, the detector can detect rotation angles of the steering shaft with high accuracy.
Abstract:
In a hydrodynamic bearing device in which a radial bearing face having a dynamic pressure generating groove on a shaft or an inner periphery of a sleeve is provided and a clearance between the shaft and the sleeve is filled with lubricant, an annular depression is provided on one end face of the sleeve adjacent to a rotor hub and a cover plate for covering the depression is attached to the sleeve so as to define a reservoir for the lubricant or air for the purpose of preventing such a risk that absence of an oil film occurs in clearances of a bearing of the hydrodynamic bearing device due to outflow of oil upon forcing of the oil by air received into the bearing. A step portion is provided on the other end face of the sleeve such that the step portion and the reservoir are communicated with each other by a communication hole. During operation of the hydrodynamic bearing device, air in the hydrodynamic bearing device reaches the reservoir via the communication hole so as to be discharged from the reservoir.
Abstract:
A pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) signal generator that injects a copy of a pulse into the PAM baseband signal prior to frequency upconversion and power amplification. The pulse comprises a function of, or an extra copy of, a pulse in the PAM baseband signal. The pulse injector analyzes the PAM baseband signal for times when a predetermined threshold is exceeded and forms a pulse that is constructed and arranged to reduce the amplitude of the PAM baseband signal to a desired peak amplitude when the pulse is added to the PAM baseband signal. In other embodiments the peak-to-RMS amplitude ratio reducing methods and apparatus used to process PAM signal are adapted for reducing peak-to-RMS amplitude ratios of amplitude modulation signals in polar modulation transmitters. Peak-to-RMS amplitude ratio reduction is performed in the quadrature domain, the polar domain, or both the quadrature and polar domains.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a radio transmission device capable of improving the throughput. The radio transmission device (100) transmits a first signal and a second signal which are different from each other. In the radio transmission device (100), an FFT unit (103) subjects first data to an FFT process. A sub-carrier allocation unit (106) maps the first data which has been subjected to the FFT process and the second data into different frequencies. An IFFT unit (107) subjects the mapped signal to the IFFT transform. A transmission radio processing unit (109) transmits the signal which has been subjected to the IFFT processing, with a single carrier.

A drive apparatus of the present invention includes a recording/reproduction section and a drive control section. The drive control section at least performs a process including: allocating a contiguous area to a specific location in the user data area other than the location specified by the recording instruction; controlling the recording/reproduction section to record the data in the allocated contiguous area; and generating new disc management information including first replacement management information for mapping a start location of the contiguous area specified by the recording instruction to a start location of the allocated contiguous area and second replacement management information for mapping an end location of the contiguous area specified by the recording instruction to an end location of the allocated contiguous area.

An antenna apparatus used in a wireless communication medium or a wireless communication medium processing apparatus constructed by a constitution of including a magnetic member in which a magnetic ceramic powder is used as a major component thereof and which is provided with flexibility, an antenna formed at a surface or inside of the magnetic member, and a matching circuit of the antenna formed at the surface or the inside of the magnetic member.
Abstract:
A delay element generates a delayed clock signal which transitions with a delay from a rising (or falling) of a reference clock signal by a delay amount determined based on an output of a loop filter. A signal generation circuit generates two signals which complementarily change according to rising and falling of the reference clock signal and a transition of the delayed clock signal. A charge pump circuit performs on the loop filter, according to these two signals, a push (or pull) operation during an interval extending from a rising (or falling) of the reference clock signal to the transition of the delayed clock signal and a pull (or push) operation during an interval extending from the transition of the delayed clock signal to a falling (or rising) of the reference clock signal.
Abstract:
Photoelectric converters are arranged two-dimensionally in a semiconductor substrate. A planarizing layer, a light shielding film, a further planarizing layer and condenser lenses are formed sequentially on the semiconductor substrate and the photoelectric converters. The light shielding film has apertures at positions corresponding to the photoelectric conversion devices. Multilayer interference filters that transmit either a red, green or blue wavelength component of light are disposed in the apertures.
Abstract:
In a folding type portable wireless unit, gain deteriorates sharply upon closure, in the case where an upper case is oscillated directly at the time of opening and used as an antenna in order to attain a wide band and a high gain. The folding type portable wireless unit comprises a first case, a second case, a coupling part for coupling the first and second cases to be opened/closed, a conductor element arranged in the first case, and a power supply element arranged in the second case. In the open state brought by the coupling part, the conductor element and the power supply element approach closely to each other and can be coupled electromagnetically at the time of power supply. In the closed state brought by the coupling part, the conductor element and the power supply element separate from each other as compared with the open state and they are not coupled electromagnetically at the time of power supply.
