Abstract: Control of one or more switches arrayed in a multi-gang switch box is disclosed. One or more sensors may receive or provide an indication of a gesture near one of the switches. An indication of the switch determined to which a gesture is determined to be directed toward may be displayed. A state change may be performed on the switch according to the gesture.

Abstract: This document describes a gas sampling device. The gas sampling device is capable of housing sensors printed on thin film (e.g., paper) and is operable to expose the sensors printed on the thin film to air for a brief period of time to sample the air for smells. The exposure causes a chemical reaction between the sensors and the sampled air and differs depending on the smells of the sampled air. After exposure, an image of the reacted sensor is captured. The image is analyzed according to image processing techniques to recognize the smells of the sampled air. The gas sampling device is also capable of concurrently sampling air from a surrounding environment along with sampling air from a specimen of interest. By analyzing both samples, the smells of the specimen of interest can be distinguished from those of the surrounding environment. Once the smells are ascertained, a profile of chemical groups in gases of the sampled air is output.

Abstract: A display device, such as a head mounted device (HMD), displays a virtual scene. The display device includes a motion tracker for detecting rotation of the display device. The display device also includes a processor that is configured to selectively maintain or modify a position of an array of rendered pixels relative to the virtual scene in response to the detected motion. The processor is also configured to upsample the rendered pixels to generate values of display pixels for presentation by the display device. The processor is further configured to translate the values of the display pixels in a rendering plane of the display device based on the detected motion. The translated values of the display pixels can then be presented on a display of the display device.

Abstract: A system for tracking a first electronic device, such as a handheld smartphone, in a virtual reality environment generated by a second electronic device, such as a head mounted display may include detection, by a camera included in one of the first electronic device or the second electronic device, of at least one visual marker included on the other of the first electronic device or the second electronic device. Features detected within the field of view corresponding to known features of the visual markers may be used to locate and track movement of the first electronic device relative to the second electronic device, so that movement of the second electronic device may be translated into an interaction in a virtual experience generated by the second electronic device.
