Abstract:
The present invention relates to a new chemical synthesis, intermediates and catalysts useful for the preparation of the neprilysin (NEP) inhibitor sacubitril, inter alia via nitro 5 compounds. It further relates to new intermediate compounds and their use for said new chemical synthesis route, as well as a new catalyst ligand.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to zeolitic adsorbents based on agglomerated crystals of FAU zeolite containing barium and/or potassium, with large external surface area, combining optimum properties in terms of selectivity and mechanical strength. These adsorbents find applications in the separation of cuts of C8-aromatic isomers and notably of xylenes, in the separation of isomers of substituted toluene such as nitrotoluene, diethyltoluene, toluenediamine, in the separation of cresols, and in the separation of polyhydric alcohols such as sugars.
Abstract:
This invention relates to methods for producing chemical products, wherein the one or more feed materials are reacted to form a chemical product or a chemical composition. The invention further relates to plants for performing such methods, said plants being designed in such a way that, during an interruption of the methods, no input of at least one feed material into the reaction occurs and the plant parts not affected by a revision measure, maintenance measure, repair measure, or cleaning measure are operated in so-called re-circulation mode. It is thereby achieved, among other things, that only the affected plant part needs to be shut down for the time of the measure, which can be advantageous with regard to the productivity and economy of the method and the quality of the produced products. Finally, the invention relates to methods for operating plants in the event that individual plant parts are taken out of service.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the continuous production of nitrobenzene by the nitration of benzene with nitric acid and sulphuric acid under adiabatic conditions, not the entire production plant being shut down during a production stop, but the production plant being entirely or at least partly operated in recirculation mode. The invention further relates to a plant for producing nitrobenzene and to a method for operating a plant for producing nitrobenzene.
Abstract:
A process for removing impurities from crude nitrated aromatic products obtained during the nitration of aromatic compounds. The nitrated aromatic products are purified by treatment with ammonia washing followed by caustic washing. The nitrophenolic-containing wash waters are treated to recover dissolved organics and ammonia, and the stripped ammonia-wash effluent is incinerated. Carbon dioxide, which can accumulate in the process, is purged to the caustic washer.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a process for working up alkaline waste water which is formed during washing of crude nitrobenzene obtained by nitration of benzene, wherein (i) the alkaline waste water is heated to a temperature of from 150° C. to 500° C. under an increased pressure with respect to atmospheric pressure with exclusion of oxygen; (ii) a base is added to the waste water obtained in (i); and (iii) the waste water obtained in (ii) is purified further by stripping with a stripping gas and the stripping gas stream loaded with impurities is then cooled to a temperature of from 10° C. to 60° C.
Abstract:
An optically active compound production method using a column reactor, a column for column reactor is charged with asymmetric catalyst particles to produce the column reactor, and reaction compound is introduced into column reactor to bring reaction compound into contact with asymmetric catalyst particles, whereby reaction compound is converted to optically active compound. Asymmetric catalyst particles are preferably resin particles that are prepared from a monomer composition containing a proline derivative monomer having unsaturated bond and radical polymerization initiator and serve as catalyst for enamine mechanism reaction. Asymmetric catalyst particles are preferably resin particles prepared by micro-channel method including injecting monomer composition into continuous phase to thereby form droplets of monomer composition in continuous phase and then heating droplets to cause proline derivative monomer having an unsaturated bond to undergo radical polymerization.

Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide an optically active bicyclic γ-amino acid derivative in a high purity. The object can be attained by a mixture of compounds represented by the general formulas (I) and (I′), or a method for producing a compound represented by the general formula (VII) or a salt thereof via the compound (I): wherein R1 and R2 each represent a C1-6 alkyl group or the like; and R3 represents a cyano group or the like,
