Abstract: A system described herein may provide for the tracking and/or calculating of performance metrics associated with a network by marking traffic and determining performance characteristics of the marked traffic. Such performance characteristics or metrics may include throughput, latency, jitter, and/or other metrics. The marking may be performed on “user” traffic, which may be traffic that is generated or sent via the network by an application or service (e.g., a voice call service, a content streaming service, etc.), as opposed to “synthetic” or “test” traffic, which is traffic that is generated or sent for the purposes of testing performance of the network (e.g., traffic related to a “speed test” or the like).

Abstract: A network device executing a Network Exposure Function (NEF) receives, from a requestor, an on-demand Subscription Concealed Identifier (SUCI) deconcealment request associated with a mobile network subscriber. The NEF sends a second SUCI deconcealment request to a network function (NF) in the mobile network, where the second SUCI deconcealment request includes a SUCI associated with the mobile network subscriber. The NEF receives, from the NF, a SUCI deconcealment response that includes a Subscription Permanent Identifier (SUPI), associated with the mobile network subscriber, decrypted from the SUCI by the NF, and forwards the SUCI deconcealment response to the requestor.

Abstract: A network repository function (NRF) device may receive first locality and priority information concerning a first network function device from the first network function device and may receive second locality and priority information concerning a second network function device from the second network function device. The NRF device may update a data structure based on the first locality and priority information and the second locality and priority information. The NRF device may receive a query concerning a locality from a third network function device and may search the data structure based on the query to identify network function device information associated with the locality. The NRF device may send the network function device information to the third network function device.

Abstract: A method and device is disclosed to select a network access link for an application in a user equipment (UE) device to use for communicating with a network. The method may include determining a plurality of network access links associated with the UE device and determining one or more criteria associated with a request to access a network. The criteria may include throughput, financial cost, latency, or signal strength. The method may include determining a score for each of the plurality of network access links with respect to the criteria. The score score may be based on historical data related to the criteria. The method may include comparing the score for each of the plurality of network access links with the criteria and selecting one of the network access links for an application to use to communicate with the network.

Abstract: A charging function device may include a processor configured to obtain subscription information associated with a user equipment (UE) device in a wireless communication network. The processor may be further configured to receive, from a gateway device, data flow information relating to data flows associated with the UE device; receive, from a policy device, policy information relating to policies applied to the data flows associated with the UE device; generate a record for the UE device based on the received data flow information and the received policy information, wherein the record identifies at least one account charge based on a particular data flow associated with the UE device; and provide the generated charging record to an account system.

Abstract: In some implementations, a network device (e.g., an Internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS) application server (IMS-AS) may receive, via a first communication interface, from a call session control function (CSCF) device, a request to register for an Internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS) service. The network device may provide via a second communication interface between the network device and a unified data management (UDM) device, and to the UDM device, a request for IMS service information associated with the IMS service. The network device may receive based on providing the request for IMS service information, via the second communication interface, and from the UDM device, IMS service information. The network device may cause, based on the IMS service information, the IMS service to be provided to a user device associated with the request to register for the IMS service.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide for a hybrid network device to serve as a zero- or low-latency relay for communications between a wireless network, such as a licensed wireless network, and one or more other devices. The hybrid network device may establish a connection with a base station of a wireless network via a licensed radio access technology (“RAT”). The hybrid network device may communicate with one or more devices via an unlicensed RAT. The hybrid network device of some embodiments may aggregate communications from devices and may serve as a single connection endpoint with respect to the base station, such that the base station need not maintain a relatively large number of connections to accommodate a relatively large quantity devices.

Abstract: A device receives a call invitation message with a Session Description Protocol (SDP) offer for establishing a call between a calling party and a called party and obtains a set of network fallback rules associated with the called party. The device determines, based on the set of network fallback rules, whether to reject the call and avoid network fallback from a first wireless network to a second wireless network. The device sends, based on the determination, a call denial message without an SDP answer, to reject the call and avoid the network fallback.
