Abstract: Systems and methods for recording multiple broadcast television programs to a single file may include receiving user selection for recording a first media content and a second media content, determining the first media content and the second media content are provided on a single television service, and tuning to the television service to receive the first media content via a tuner of the television receiver. The systems and methods may include recording the first media content as a first permanent recording to a master file, receiving the second media content via the tuner of the television receiver, and recording the second media content as a second permanent recording to the master file.

Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, non-transitory computer-readable mediums, and apparatuses are presented for detecting and positioning sound in a home automation system. Indications of sounds and timestamps may be received from various home automation devices. Using the received indications, a sound magnitude for the sound and whether the sound originated inside or outside of the structure can be determined. The sound magnitude may be compared to an inside sound threshold level if the sound was determined to originate inside the structure or compared to an outside sound threshold level if the sound was determined to originate outside the structure. Sound information corresponding to the sound may be logged if the sound was determined to originate inside and the sound magnitude exceeds the inside sound threshold level or the sound was determined to originate outside and the sound magnitude exceeds the outside sound threshold level.

Abstract: A method for estimating bandwidth associated with an oscillating network includes determining a set of first average bandwidths within a corresponding set of first sliding windows, wherein each of the first sliding windows has a first duration. Abstract: Various arrangements are provided for using an unmanned aerial vehicle with a home automation system. The home automation host system may determine that a home automation event has occurred. The system may determine to perform unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) surveillance of the home in response to the home automation event. Deployment of a UAV may be triggered in response to determining to perform the UAV surveillance of the home. Video may then captured by the UAV of a portion of the home, possibly corresponding to the location of the home automation event. The video captured by the UAV of the portion of the home in association with an indication of the home automation event that triggered deployment of the UAV may be recorded.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided which facilitate the resolution of recording conflicts of a digital video recorder (DVR). A DVR identifies a recording conflict between a first recording timer associated with a first television program and a second recording timer associated with a second television program. A communication is initiated to a communication device associated with a user of the digital video recorder to inform the user of the recording conflict. Responsive to the communication, the user provides information to the DVR via the communication device requesting to resolve the recording conflict. The DVR utilizes the provided information to modify one or more of the conflicted recording timers to resolve the conflict.
