Abstract: A transmitter includes a mapping circuit and a framing circuit. The mapping circuit is configured to combine and map a first data sequence and a second data sequence onto orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) subcarriers which include first subcarriers and second subcarriers. The framing circuit is configured to generate an OFDM signal from the OFDM subcarriers. The mapping circuit is configured to: map first data included in the first data sequence and second data included in the second data sequence onto the first subcarriers; and map the second data onto the second subcarriers. The first data are not mapped on the second subcarriers.

Abstract: An information processing method includes processing of: acquiring, from a plurality of time-series images in which an object is captured, first information including at least a plurality of positions or a plurality of sizes of the object; executing prediction processing of predicting second information including at least one of a position or a size of the object at a next time point in a time-series based on the first information and recursively executing the prediction processing based on the first information and the second information to predict the second information of the object at a time point further next to the next time point; executing recognition processing of recognizing motion of the object based on the second information; and determining a total number of times of recursion of the prediction processing based on a result of the recognition processing.

Abstract: An image encoder performs a first partitioning including using a first partition mode, without writing first splitting information indicative of the first partition mode into a bitstream, to split a first block into a plurality of second blocks in response to that the first block is located adjacent to an edge of a picture and that the dimensions of the first block satisfy a first condition; and performs a second partitioning on the second block by writing second splitting information indicative of a second partition mode into the bitstream, wherein the second partition mode allows at least one of a quad tree splitting and a binary splitting, and using the second partition mode to split the second block into a plurality of coding units (CUs), wherein the second partition mode prohibits the quad tree splitting of the second block in certain conditions.

Abstract: A risk prediction method is executed by a computer of a risk predictor using a convolutional neural network. The method includes making the convolutional neural network acquire an input image taken by an in-vehicle camera installed on a vehicle. The method also includes making the convolutional neural network estimate a risk area and a feature of the risk area, the risk area being in the acquired input image. The risk area has a possibility that a moving object may appear from the risk area into a travelling path of the vehicle, and the moving object may collide with the vehicle in a case where the vehicle simply continues running. The method further includes making the convolutional neural network output the estimated risk area and the estimated feature of the risk area as a risk predicted for the input image.

As a result, a contents transmitting method is provided for enabling a quick access to contents through communication when the contents are reproduced by a combination of broadcast and communication on the receiving side.
