Abstract:
This invention relates to a method of manufacturing a concentrated aqueous solution of an amine oxide and the use of the solution in cleaning compositions.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to synthetic bar compositions wherein relatively small amounts of specified polyoxyethylene-polypropylene nonionic polymer has been found to enhance mildness of bar compositions.
Abstract:
A pine oil cleaning concentrate composition comprising as essential constituents: pine oil, a nonionic surfactant with a cloud point of 20.degree. C. or less, a solubilizing agent and, water, feature reduced levels of volatile organic contents, including reduced amounts of pine oil, yet provides good blooming characteristics upon mixing of the concentrate composition with a further amount of water to produce a cleaning composition therefrom. The pine oil cleaning compositions may further include conventional additives, including germicidal agents, viscosity modification agents, fragrances (natural or synthetically produced), foaming agents, further surfactants, and coloring agents.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a liquid crystal composition comprising a water insoluble organic compound, a nonionic surfactant, an abrasive, an ethoxylated alkyl ether sulfate surfactant, a polycarboxylate thickener, a fatty alcohol, a cosurfactant and water.
Abstract:
The invention provides an aqueous, hard surface cleaner with significantly improved residue removal and substantially reduced filming/streaking, said cleaner comprising: (a) an effective amount of at least one organic solvent with a vapor pressure of at least 0.001 mm Hg at 25.degree. C., and mixtures of such solvents; (b) an effective amount of at least one semi-polar nonionic surfactant, said surfactant having the structure: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is C.sub.5-20 alkyl, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are both C.sub.1-4 alkyl, ##STR2## or --(CH.sub.2).sub.p --OH, although R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 do not have to be equal, and n is 1-5, and p is 1-6; (c) an effective amount of a buffering system which comprises a nitrogenous buffer which will result in a pH of greater than 6.5; and (d) the remainder as substantially all water.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a composition for an aqueous rinsing solution for removing deposits from surfaces of showers and the like, and a method of using same without scrubbing or wiping. The composition includes a non-ionic surfactant having an HLB of 13 or less, a chelating agent, and optionally, alcohol and/or ammonium hydroxide and/or morpholine.
Abstract:
A novel pre-moistened wiping article has been discovered comprising a flexible substrate carrying a liquid composition comprising an aqueous solution of: (1) from about 5 to about 15 weight % of a monohydric aliphatic alcohol having from 1 to about 6 carbon atoms; (b) from about 0.00015 to about 0.0045 weight % of a water soluble preservative; (c) from about 0.01 to about 1 weight percent of alkyl polyglycoside, wherein said weight percentages represent active ingredient percentages based on the total weight of the liquid composition. The invention is a low alcohol content wiping article that leaves a cleaned hard surface substantially streak free.
Abstract:
