Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention involve a refill apparatus comprising at least one pump, a plurality of reservoirs, a plurality of reservoir fluid channels each associated with one of the reservoirs, a plurality of valves, each having a cracking pressure, for fluidically sealing the reservoir fluid channels and the outlet fluid channel, an outlet fluid channel fluidically connected to the reservoir fluid channels, and a needle having a lumen in fluid communication with the outlet fluid channel. A parameter such as a pressure level is monitored, and one or more pumps and various ones of the valves are actuated in accordance with a protocol comprising a sequence of steps whereby fluidic pathways are opened between different ones of the reservoirs and the needle in a washing and filling sequence, each of the steps being associated with an expected pressure level.
Abstract:

Compositions, methods and kits for inhibiting an allergic response against a flea allergenic protein; a feline allergenic protein; a canine allergenic protein; a dust mite allergenic protein; a peanut allergenic protein; a Japanese cedar allergenic protein; and a blomia tropicalis allergenic protein are disclosed.
Abstract:
A transmitting method and device for scheduling information, wherein the method includes: scheduling information of the MBMS controlling signaling is borne in a designated system information block to be transmitted, wherein the designated system information block is a system information block 2, a system information block 3, or a new added system information block.
Abstract:
A method and a system for processing an HTTP request. There is provided a method for processing an HTTP request, including: receiving an original HTTP request for accessing an instance of an application; modifying a domain name to be accessed; and sending the new HTTP request to a server of the application so as to access the instance of the application, wherein the domain name to be accessed by the original HTTP request and the new domain name correspond to a same IP address. This avoids various problems such as data confusion, data error, and use inconvenience in the related art occurring when a plurality of service instances of a same application run in a same hypertext transfer protocol session. A system for carrying out the above method is also provided.
Abstract:
A phase-change chamber, a method for fabricating a phase-change chamber and a heat dissipation apparatus for electronic device cooling are disclosed. The phase-change chamber includes: a phase-change medium capable of transitioning between a plurality of phases; a first surface for transitioning a portion of the phase-change medium from a first phase into a second phase; a second surface for transitioning a portion of the phase-change medium from the second phase into the first phase; and at least one supporting member along the circumference of the first surface and the second surface for separating and enclosing the first surface and the second surface. The first surface is patterned on a first plate and includes regions of high and low affinity to the phase-change medium. The second surface is received on a second plate and comprises low affinity to the phase-change medium.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are vaccines comprising an amyloid beta antigen and a nucleic acid encoding the amyloid beta antigen, or a variant thereof. T cell proliferation can be inhibited and iTreg cells can be stimulated in the subject administered the vaccine. Further provided are methods for treating Alzheimer's Disease, methods for reducing or slowing the rate of formation of amyloid beta plaques, methods for treating encephalitis, and methods for of reducing brain swelling. The methods can comprise administering the vaccine to a subject in need thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and base station for transmitting broadcast multicast service control signaling, and the method includes: a serving base station of a cell located in overlapped coverage of more than one Multimedia Broadcast multicast service Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) area respectively determining multi-cell mode broadcast multicast service control signaling for each MBSFN area, and transmitting the determined multi-cell mode broadcast multicast service control signaling. The base station serves a cell located in overlapped coverage of more than one MBSFN area, and includes a control signaling determination module and a control signaling transmission module. The method and base station of the present invention avoid the complex processing at the border of MBSFN areas, and facilitates the management of control signaling in MBSFN areas.
Abstract:
An inorganic, dielectric grid polarizer device includes a stack of film layers disposed over a substrate. Each film layer is formed of a material that is both inorganic and dielectric. Adjacent film layers each have different refractive indices. At least one of the film layers is discontinuous to form a form-birefringent layer with an array of parallel ribs having a period less than 400 nm. Another layer, different than the form-birefringent layer, is formed of an optically absorptive material for the ultra-violet spectrum.
Abstract:
Regioselectively substituted cellulose esters having a plurality of aryl-acyl substituents and a plurality of alkyl-acyl substituents are disclosed along with methods for making the same. Such cellulose esters may be suitable for use in optical films, such as optical films having certain Nz values, −A optical films, and/or +C optical films. Optical films prepared employing such cellulose esters have a variety of commercial applications, such as, for example, as compensation films in liquid crystal displays and/or waveplates in creating circular polarized light used in 3-D technology.
