Abstract:
A block-request streaming system provides for improvements in the user experience and bandwidth efficiency of such systems, typically using an ingestion system that generates data in a form to be served by a conventional file server (HTTP, FTP, or the like), wherein the ingestion system intakes content and prepares it as files or data elements to be served by the file server, which might or might not include a cache. A client device can be adapted to take advantage of the ingestion process as well as including improvements that make for a better presentation independent of the ingestion process. In the block-request streaming system, the an ingestion system generates data according to erasure codes and the client device, through various selection and timing of requests for media data and redundant data, can efficiently decode media to provide for presentations.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an address refreshing method and device of the Ethernet ring network, and the method comprises: when a current node state of each node in the Ethernet ring network is a protection state, if a failure of a first link in the Ethernet ring network disappears, transmitting a No Request (NR) protocol message indicating that the link failure disappears through node(s) connected with the first link; a node in the Ethernet ring network which receives the NR protocol message switching the node state of the node into a pending state; and when the current node state of each node in the Ethernet ring network is the pending state, if a link failure appears in the Ethernet ring network, transmitting a link failure notification (SF) protocol message through node(s) connected with the failed link; a node in the Ethernet ring network which receives the SF protocol message switching the node state of the node into the protection state, and refreshing an address forwarding table according to address refreshing information carried in the SF protocol message.
Abstract:
A framing method of the common interleaved frame is provided, which includes the following steps: obtaining the position information of each sub-channel in the common interleaved frame; depositing data bits in each sub-channel accordingly based on the position information of each sub-channel and the number of bits comprised in the capacity unit CU; wherein the number of bits comprised in the CU is determined by a symbol mapping mode of each sub-channel. The method can help the skilled in the art to make a CIF with the data bits at the transmitter of the T-MMB system. A framing device of the common interleaved frame is also provided in the present invention.
Abstract:
A seatbelt assembly for motor vehicle occupant restraint applications of the three point type in which a lap belt section is formed of two layers of seatbelt webbing. The system may be implemented in connection with single or dual seatbelt retractors. A loop tongue is provided which is releasably affixed to a seatbelt buckle and has at least one slot which allows the free movement of webbing through the tongue between the use and storage conditions of the seatbelt system. An end of the webbing is also attached to the tongue. The system is operated by an occupant in a manner like a conventional three point restraint system using a single releasable attachment. Through the use of a pair of thicknesses of webbing in the lap belt section of the restraint system, control of reduced chest deflection and pelvic excursion may be provided.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for forwarding a protocol frame in spanning rings, applied to the Ethernet ring network including a crossed or tangent ring and sub-ring. The method comprises steps as follows: when an interconnection node of the ring and the sub-ring receives a protocol frame from a sub-ring, if the topology of the sub-ring is changed, the interconnection node updates its address forwarding table according to the address updating information carried in the protocol frame, and sends the address updating information to the ring; the nodes of the ring update their address forwarding table respectively according the updating information. The present invention selectively sends information of sub-ring protocol frame to the ring via the interconnection node of the ring and the sub-ring. Such scheme that information of the sub-ring protocol frame is selective sent at the interconnection node not only solves the problem of updating address in spanning rings, but also decreases the amount of protocol frames sent from the sub-ring to the ring, and thereby greatly improves the performance and efficiency of the network.
Abstract:
An adaptive load limiting seat belt retractor particularly adapted for motor vehicle applications. The retractor provides multiple levels of load limiting through the use of a pair of internal torsion bar elements. The torsion bar elements control the tension force on the seat belt webbing during an impact in a manner which provides desirable crash management characteristics. The retractor can be switched between high and low load limiting modes through activation of a pyrotechnic pretensioner. When the pyrotechnic pretensioner is not activated, the retractor provides a low load level characteristic. Pretensioner activation switches the retractor into a high load level operating condition. A high load limiting level is provided when the pretensioner is not activated if the spindle rotation exceeds a limited level in the low load limiting condition. A degressive load limiting feature may be provided to cause load limiting to begin at a higher level than the high load limiting level, and then step down the high load limiting level.
