Abstract:
A vehicle door has a door housing and a door cassette that may be assembled off the manufacturing line and tested prior to assembling on the door housing. The door cassette has a cross member onto which a door frame is connected. The cross member and door frame assembly is pivotally connected to the door housing. The door frame has a lower door frame that is inserted into the door housing. A connection adjustably fastens the lower door frame in relation to the housing so that the frame may be easily adjusted to fit to the vehicle body.
Abstract:
A guiding device for sliding doors is disclosed and includes a guide bar and door supporting elements that travel along the guide bar. The guide bar and each door supporting element form a recirculating ball bearing sliding pair. The guide bar and the door supporting element have cylindrical mating surfaces The sliding pair comprises ball sleeve bearings placed inside a cylindrical tube which is integral with the respective door supporting elements.
Abstract:
A vehicle door has a glass run channel extending vertically to guide vertical movement of a window glass. A bracket is mounted on the door adjacent the bottom of the glass run channel and has an upwardly opening slot therein. A threaded stud is carried by the bottom of the glass run channel. An annular roller of molded plastic construction is threaded onto the stud and has a circumferential groove by which the annual roller may be installed into the upwardly opening slot of the bracket to thereby mount the bottom of the glass run channel on the door. The stud is preferably threadably attached to the bottom of the glass run channel so that rotation of the threaded stud relative the glass run channel will adjust the position of the annular roller to adjust the bottom of the glass run channel relative to the door.
Abstract:
A multiple level building comprising an elevator system in which an elevator car moves between floors within an elevator hoistway which contains a door providing access to the hoistway from a corridor at each floor. Seal structures are provided between the hoistway door and a hoistway wall structure to substantially prevent smoke and gas from passing into or out of the hoistway, and to block water from entering the hoistway. A transverse seal structure has a wall-mounted portion with an angled seal engagement surface relative to the hoistway wall, and a door portion with an angled seal mating surface facing toward the hoistway wall and spaced apart from the seal engaging surface of the wall-mounted portion. A seal is provided between the seal engagement surface and the seal mating surface to seal the transverse space therebetween to prevent smoke and gas to pass therethrough in the event of a fire when the hoistway doors are in the closed position.
Abstract:
A lower sash installed inside a door panel of, for instance, the door of an automobile so as to guide and hold window glass that is accommodated inside the door panel, the lower sash having a structure in which the sash has a channel shape in cross section comprising an outer-panel-side outer wing and an inner-panel-side inner wing formed as an integral part on either side of a frame plate, truss-form openings are formed in the frame plate, glass guides, which are elastic projections and respectively face the outer wing and inner wing, are arranged in an alternating manner so as to positionally correspond to the truss-form openings, and the wall thickness of the outer wing or inner wing is made thicker at a lower panel attachment end than the upper door sash end; and these elements are molded into an integral plastic unit.
Abstract:
Drive mechanism for a drive carrier (17) which is drivable for back and fh movement along a guide rail (10), which is connectable to a correspondingly drivable object, having a drive system (1) with a reducing gear (3) and output head (4) and having a drive web (11) driven by same and connectable to the drive carrier which is looped over a turn-around device intended to be located at the end of guide rail (10) facing away from drive system (1), which drive mechanism is so constructed for the purpose of space-saving storage and/or transportation and also orderly final assembly after connection of the guide rails without the risk of a faulty drive web run, in such manner that the drive system (1) or its output head (4) has a storage section (8) in which the drive web (11), looped over the output head and dimensioned for the total guide rail length, shortened in its lengthwise direction by wavelike folds (13,14) is contained in a small space, together with the turn-around device (12), to which storage section (8) the guide rail is connected at the installation site, and in which the turn-around device (12) can be slid into the operating position at the corresponding end of the guide rail (10) and there fastened, while entraining without twisting the drive web (11) which is thereby extended in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail.
Abstract:
The privacy screen provides a simple, effective solution to provide visual privacy for the traditional open workstations of office panelling systems. The privacy screen can easily be retrofitted to existing systems without the need for specialized panels or overhead mounting structure at an opening threshold. The privacy screen is mounted to overlap with a face of a panel adjacent a panel and extend there beyond to close the entryway to the workstation.
Abstract:
Environmentally employable in combination with a slidable-door type open-wall and for maintaining an angular-dog type slidable-door in tight opening-obstructed temperature-protective contact adjacently about the wall-opening of a said upright open-wall, a floor-mountable retractable roller device including a floor-mountable horizontal base-plate and including a pivotably mounted elongate rear-arm having a rotatable horizontal-roller springably urged toward the slidable-door underlying angular-dog to temperaturely-protectively urge the slidable-door in closure-condition about the wall-opening. The springably urged force between the slidable-door lower angular-dog and the device horizontal-roller can be empirically adjusted with an adjusting screw disclosed herein.
Abstract:
The window lifter (1) may, for example, be of the twisted cable type (3) driven by a motorized reduction gear (2) wound around return pulleys (4, 5) and sliding in a guide rail (6); a carriage (8) carrying the window pane (9) is fixed to the strand of the cable passing into the rail (6); damping elements (11) such as flat metal springs, for example, are fixed to the ends of the guide rail (6) and to the door panel (7), which makes it possible to damp out a hard impact against an obstacle encountered by the window pane (9).
Abstract:
A mechanism for assembling sliding glass doors, comprising an upper track (3), a lower parallel guide (5) between which are arranged fixed sheets (1) and moveable sheets (2). The track (3) has an inverted L-shaped cross section and its vertical member is provided with means (16) for fastening stops, the lower part of said member ending in an inverted groove (14) with an upper rib (15) on which slides the wheel (30) of the suspension heads which comprise two plates (20 and 21) that can be opposed and fixed together, with the interposition of a pivot (27) to regulate the separation between said plates. The horizontal member (8) of the L-shape is provided at the end with a channel (18) for fixing a shape (19) to restricts the lifting of the sheet (2).
