Abstract:
A method of treating autoimmune and inflammatory diseases or conditions in a mammal, such as a human, which comprises the administration of a inhibitor of bromodomain-containing protein: SP140.
Abstract:
A multi-screen electronic device includes a first electronic device having a first electronic device screen and a second electronic device having a second electronic device screen. The first and second electronic device screens are stacked and on different planes when the multi-screen electronic device is in a compact form. The first and second electronic device screens are unstacked and on the same plane when the multi-screen electronic device is in an expanded form. A translation mechanism is coupled to the first and second electronic devices. The translation mechanism is configured to guide a motion of at least one of the first and second electronic devices along a nonlinear path such that a travel along the nonlinear path in a forward direction transforms the multi-screen electronic device from the compact form to the expanded form and a travel along the nonlinear path in a reverse direction transforms the multi-screen electronic device from the expanded form to the compact form.
Abstract:
Embodiments of an apparatus and methods for forming thick metal interconnect structures for integrated structures are generally described herein. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
Abstract:
Provided is a system and method for providing a certificate, and more specifically a certificate for network access upon a second system. The method includes receiving from a user a request made with a first device for network access, the request including a voucher. At least one characteristic of the first device is also determined. Upon verification of the voucher and in response to the first device having at least one characteristic corresponding to at least one predefined device criteria, the user is provided with a certificate with at least one characteristic for network access. An associated system for providing a Certificate is also provided.
Abstract:
A crash brace is incorporated into a body structure of an automotive vehicle as an energy absorption and management device to assist in managing the energy during rear and side impact collisions, thereby protecting internal structures within the rear end of the vehicle.
Abstract:
Polymerization process in a slurry loop reactor having a slurry loop reaction zone with a volume of at least 50 m3 and an internal diameter (D) of 50 cm or greater, a feed inlet for monomers and diluent, a catalyst inlet for polymerisation catalyst, and a discharge conduit for removal of polymer. Monomer, diluent and catalyst are passed into the reaction zone through their respective inlets where they form a slurry of polymer solids having a polymer solids concentration in the reaction zone of greater than 20 wt %. The space-time yield (STY) is greater than 100 kg/h/m3, and the catalyst inlet is an inlet pipe such that no part of the inlet pipe protrudes beyond the wall of the reaction zone and into the reaction zone by more than 1/10th of the diameter of the reaction zone at the point where the inlet pipe joins the reaction zone.
Abstract:
An interface for an industrial controller is provided that enables connection of different types of plug-in I/O modules to the industrial controller. The interface includes several mechanisms, which can be implemented through control logic, circuitry, and/or software, that enable the control/monitoring device to operate in conjunction with different types of plug-in I/O modules. According to certain embodiments, the interface includes setup mechanisms that enable initial communications between the plug-in I/O modules and the control/monitoring device. The interface also may include operational mechanisms that facilitate communication between the plug-in I/O modules and the control/monitoring device during operation. The interface further may include registers that store data for the plug-in I/O modules.
Abstract:
Provided is a system and method for providing a certificate, and more specifically a certificate for network access upon a second system based on at least one criteria and an established identity with a first system. The method includes receiving criteria, such as at least one predefined attribute. Also received from a user known to a first system is a request for network access to a second system, the request having at least one identifier. The first system is then queried with the identifier for attributes associated with the user. The attributes associated with the user are evaluated to the predefined attribute(s). In response to at least one attribute associated with the user correlating to the predefined attribute(s), providing a certificate with at least one characteristic for network access on the second system to the user. An associated system for providing a Certificate is also provided.
