摘要: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for operating a first base station of a radio access network (RAN). At the first base station, the method receives a set of allow and block policies for allocating carrier resources to carrier beams utilized by the first base station for mobile devices within a first region serviced by the first base station, said first region located near a second region serviced by a second base station. At the first base station, the method identifies a first mobile device operating in the first region. At the first base station, the method uses the set of allow and block policies to allocate carrier resources to a carrier beam used to communicate with the first mobile device in the first region.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to techniques for managing client computing systems, such as a client distributed-computing system. In one embodiment, a desired state of the client distributed-computing system and a current state of the client distributed-computing system are received. Measurement data generated by a plurality of components of the client distributed-computing system is received. The measurement data is processed using one or more analytical or statistical techniques to generate distilled data. Based on one or more policies and the desired state, the distilled data and the current state are analyzed to determine one or more actions predicted to converge the current state of the client distributed-computing system towards the desired state. One or more control commands corresponding to the one or more actions are provided to the client distributed-computing system. The one or more control commands cause the client distributed-computing system to perform the one or more actions.

摘要: Disclosed are examples of accountable decentralized anonymous payment systems and methods. One such method comprises storing, in a digital wallet, a digital coin that has been signed by a bank computing device; rerandomizing the digital coin and a coin signature to produce a new version of the digital coin that is anonymous with respect to an owner of the digital coin; sending the new version of the digital coin to a recipient computing device; computing a nullifier for the new version of the digital coin using a pseuodorandom function over a serial number of the digital coin; sending the nullifier for the new version of the digital coin to the bank computing device; and providing the bank computing device a zero knowledge proof that a value of the nullifier for the new version of the digital coin is correct and is the same as a nullifier of the digital coin.

摘要: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for deploying network elements for a set of machines in a set of one or more datacenters. The datacenter set is part of one availability zone in some embodiments. The method receives intent-based API (Application Programming Interface) requests, and parses these API requests to identify a set of network elements to connect and/or perform services for the set of machines. In some embodiments, the API is a hierarchical document that can specify multiple different compute and/or network elements at different levels of compute and/or network element hierarchy. The method performs automated processes to define a virtual private cloud (VPC) to connect the set of machines to a logical network that segregates the set of machines from other machines in the datacenter set. In some embodiments, the set of machines include virtual machines and containers, the VPC is defined with a supervisor cluster namespace, and the API requests are provided as YAML files.

摘要: A method comprising instantiating virtual routers (VRs) at each of a set of nodes that form a network. Each VR is coupled to the network and to a tenant of the node. The network comprises virtual links in an overlay network provisioned over an underlay network including servers of a public network. The method comprises configuring at least one VR to include a feedback control system comprising at least one objective function that characterizes the network. The method comprises configuring the VR to receive link state data of a set of virtual links of the virtual links, and control routing of a tenant traffic flow of each tenant according to a best route of the network determined by the at least one objective function using the link state data.

摘要: A distributed file system operating over a plurality of hosts is built on top of a tree structure having a root node, internal nodes, and leaf nodes. Each host maintains at least one node and non-leaf nodes are allocated buffers according to a workload of the distributed file system. A write operation is performed by inserting write data into one of the nodes of the tree structure having a buffer. A read operation is performed by traversing the tree structure down to a leaf node that stores read target data, collecting updates to the read target data, which are stored in buffers of the traversed nodes, applying the updates to the read target data, and returning the updated read target data as read data.

摘要: Techniques for implementing a hardware-based cache controller in, e.g., a tiered memory computer system are provided. In one set of embodiments, the cache controller can flexibly operate in a number of different modes that aid the OS/hypervisor of the computer system in managing and optimizing its use of the system's memory tiers. In another set of embodiments, the cache controller can implement a hardware architecture that enables it to significantly reduce the probability of tag collisions, decouple cache capacity management from cache lookup and allocation, and handle multiple concurrent cache transactions.

摘要: The present disclosure is related to devices, systems, and methods for TLS server certificate replacement using a notification mechanism. An example method can include establishing a first secure TLS connection between a client and a server verified by a first TLS certificate, creating a subscription for the client to receive a notification associated with a TLS certificate change, loading a second certificate to replace the first certificate, providing a notification to the client, wherein the notification includes the second certificate and a web token scoped to the client, and establishing a second secure TLS connection verified by the second TLS certificate responsive to the client verifying the web token.

摘要: An example method of handling, at a hypervisor on a host in a virtualized computing system, a write input/output (IO) operation to a file on a storage device having a virtual machine file system (VMFS) is described. The method includes: generating logical transactions for the write IO operation having updates to metadata of the VMFS for the file; estimating, for the logical transactions, common space reservations for those of the updates to common fields in the metadata for the file; estimating, for the logical transactions, exclusive space reservations for those of the updates to exclusive fields in the metadata for the file; batching the logical transactions into a physical transaction, which includes a single reservation of space in a journal of the VMFS based on the common space reservations and a reservations of space in the journal for each of the exclusive space reservations, respectively.
