Abstract:
A bicycle wheel rim has an integrally formed annular rim body with left and right tire retaining walls, and a base wall interconnecting the tire retaining walls. The base wall has a radial inner face facing a central axis of the rim body, a radial outer face, a left section connected to the left tire retaining wall, a right section connected to the right tire retaining wall, and a vaulted portion interconnecting the left and right sections. The vaulted portion is vaulted in a radial outward direction relative to the left and right sections so as to define an annular recess in the radial inner face and an annular protrusion on the radial outer face. The annular recess is adapted for retaining a peripheral portion of a circular disc therein. Optionally, the base wall is formed with a plurality of spoke mounting holes distributed in the left and right sections and adapted for retaining spoke fasteners therein.
Abstract:
A bicycle wheel rim is adapted for use with a brake pad and is adapted for mounting a plurality of spokes thereon. The bicycle wheel rim includes spaced left and right annular tire retaining walls adapted for retaining a bicycle tire therebetween. Each of the tire retaining walls has an inner edge portion proximate to a central point of the wheel rim, and an outer edge portion distal to the central point of the wheel rim. Each of the tire retaining walls further has an outer wall surface that has a first width in a radial direction of the wheel rim. The first width is larger than a width of the brake pad in the radial direction of the wheel rim. The outer wall surface is allocated with a brake pad contacting portion that is adapted to contact the brake pad and that has a second width in the radial direction of the wheel rim. The second width ranges from 50 to 60% of the first width. The bicycle wheel rim further includes an annular spoke mounting wall interconnecting the inner edge portions of the tire retaining walls and adapted for mounting the spokes thereat.
Abstract:
A bicycle wheel rim includes a unitary integrally formed rim body which has annular left and right tire retaining walls that are spaced apart from each other, and an annular bridging portion. Each of the tire retaining walls has a radial inner section proximate to a central point of the wheel rim, a radial outer section distal to the central point of the wheel rim, and an intermediate section between the radial inner and radial outer sections. The radial outer sections of the tire retaining walls are adapted for retaining a bicycle tire therebetween. The bridging portion interconnects the intermediate sections of the tire retaining walls, and cooperates with the tire retaining walls to provide the rim body with a generally H-shaped cross-section.
Abstract:
A bicycle wheel rim includes a rim body and a braking plate. The rim body includes annular first and second tire retaining walls adapted for retaining a bicycle tire therebetween, and a spoke mounting portion. Each of the tire retaining walls has a radial inner edge proximate to an axis of the wheel rim, a radial outer edge adapted for retaining the bicycle tire therebetween, and a lateral outer surface opposite to the other one of the tire retaining walls. The rim body further includes an annular spoke mounting portion which interconnects the radial inner edges of the tire retaining walls and which is adapted for mounting spokes thereon. The braking plate projects integrally from the lateral outer surface of the first tire retaining wall, and has two opposite brake pad contacting surfaces adapted to be contacted by brake pads of a brake device.
Abstract:
Apparatus and associated methods relate to identifying objects of interest and detecting motion to automatically detect a security threat as a function of video frame delta information received from a video encoder. In an illustrative example, the video encoder may be an H.264 encoder onboard a video camera. A cloud server may receive the video frame delta information in a compressed video stream from the camera. Threats may be detected by the cloud server processing the video frame delta information in the compressed video stream, without decompression, to identify objects and detect motion. The cloud server may employ artificial intelligence techniques to enhance threat detection by the cloud server. Various examples may advantageously provide increased capacity of a computer tasked with detecting security breaches, due to the significant reduction in the amount of data to be processed, relative to threat detection based on processing uncompressed video streams.
Abstract:
A vacuum coating apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a cathode target, a plurality of anodes, a transiting device, a pulsed arc discharge device, and a pulsed laser device. The plurality of anodes is placed on the transiting device and successively passes though a working position by the transiting device. The pulsed arc discharge device is electrically connected to the cathode target and the anode at the operable position to form plasma in a vacuum chamber for film coating. The pulsed laser device is located outside of the vacuum chamber and provides a pulsed laser beam onto the surface of the cathode surface to serve as a plasma trigger. A coating method for the vacuum coating apparatus is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A wheel rim includes an annular rim body having a horizontally disposed rim axis. The rim body includes an annular base wall and opposite annular side walls extending from the annular base wall. Each annular side wall includes a reinforcing segment connected to the annular base wall, and a tire coupling segment extending from the reinforcing segment. The tire coupling segments of the annular side walls cooperatively define a tire retaining space. Each reinforcing segment has an inner wall portion, an outer wall portion disposed at a radially outer side of the inner wall portion and cooperating with the inner wall portion to define an annular chamber, and at least one connecting wall portion disposed in the annular chamber, and cooperating with the inner and outer wall portions to form at least one H-shaped wall structure and to configure the annular chamber into at least two annular holes.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel nucleic acid encoding a β-1,3-glucanase polypeptide of lily, and an expression vector, host cell and transgenic plant comprising the nucleic acid of the invention. The expression of the nucleic acid of the invention in the plant will enhance resistance against a wide variety of stresses, in particular fungal attack.
Abstract:
