摘要: A heat sink used in an interface card includes a supporting base, a first heat-dissipating body and a second heat-dissipating body. The supporting base has a side. The first heat-dissipating body is mounted on the supporting base. The first heat-dissipating body is constituted of a plurality of overlapping heat-dissipating pieces. The heat-dissipating pieces are arranged obliquely with respect to the side. The second heat-dissipating body overlaps on the first heat-dissipating body. The second heat-dissipating body comprises a plurality of heat-dissipating pieces. Via the above arrangement, the heat-dissipating efficiency of the interface card can be increased and the lifetime thereof can be extended.

摘要: The present invention provides a treating unit of activated sludge for wastewater treatment and a treating apparatus having the same. The treating unit is constructed by a cage-shaped supporting structure which defines an interior space for containing the microbial cell therein. The present invention provides a measure for simultaneous removal of organics and nitrogen compounds from the wastewater under a condition of controlled aeration, and makes the configuration of treating apparatus as well as the treating process more simplified. It is also an alternative to replace the traditional A2O process. According to the present invention, the design of sludge return, which is essential for the conventional activated sludge treatment, is not needed. Moreover, the present invention is compatible with the conventional activated sludge treatment process and is advantageous in its short start-up period during which a stable operation is achievable.

摘要: According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method of determining or adjusting the sensitivity of a biosensor arrangement comprising at least one field effect biosensor is provided, each of the at least one field effect biosensor comprising: a semiconductor substrate comprising a source region, a drain region and a channel region disposed between the source region and the drain region; a gate isolation layer covering the channel region; and a reference electrode disposed over the gate isolation layer such that a electrolytic solution to be sensed can be provided between the reference electrode and the gate isolation layer. The method comprises the following processes carried out for each field effect biosensor: providing an electrolytic solution between the reference electrode and the gate isolation layer; applying a source/drain voltage between the source region and the drain region; varying a reference voltage supplied to the reference electrode over a voltage range; measuring a resulting drain current while varying the reference voltage in order to obtain a corresponding drain current function; and determining the sensitivity of the field effect biosensor based on the reference voltage supplied to the reference electrode and the corresponding drain current function.
