    摘要: A system and method includes receiving, via a fiber optic cable, an analog fiber optic signal that preserves native radio frequency (RF) energy characteristics of at least one first RF signal associated with at least one wireless device, and converting, by a light-to-RF converter, the received analog fiber optic signal into at least one second RF signal. The system and method can further comprise analyzing, by a processor, the at least one second RF signal and generating, by the processor, at least one digital signature associated with the at least one wireless device, respectively, based on the analysis of the at least one second RF signal. The system and method yet further comprise determining, by the processor, if the at least one wireless device associated with the at least one digital signature, respectively, is one of an authorized device and an unauthorized device.

    摘要: A short-waveband active optical component based on a vertical emitting laser and a multi-mode optical fiber has an emitting end and a receiving end. In the emitting end, multiple VCSELs generate multiple optical signals of different wavelengths, and multiple photodiodes in the receiving end receive the optical signals emitted by the VCSELs. Both ends use a focusing lens array to collimate and focus the optical signals A Z-block-shaped prism performs a light combining function at the emitting end, while another Z-block-shaped prism performs a light splitting function at the receiving end. Both ends use a focusing lens for collimating and focusing the optical signals at ends of a multi-mode optical fiber, which is used for transmitting the optical signals generated by the VCSELs. The short-waveband active optical component has a small size and a high transmission rate.

    摘要: Disclosed herein are embodiments of an aerial network system including a first transceiver configured to transmit and receive free space optical (FSO) signals and a second transceiver configured to transmit and receive radio frequency (RF) signals. A processor provides modulated data signals to the first and second transceivers for transmission and receives demodulated signals from the first and second transceiver. The processor is configured for policy-based multipath admission of requests for access to an IP-routing enabled overlay network. The processor includes an inverse mission planning system configured for predictive traffic load balancing of transmitted FSO signals and RF signals. The inverse mission planning system includes radio behavior models and aerial platform models, and is configured for geographic simulation and optimization of mission planning data based upon user-inputted mission-specific data. Forward error correction (FEC) coding of transmitted communications via packet erasure coding provides resiliency with a low bit error rate.

    摘要: An amplified optical link having a fault-protection capability that is based, at least in part, on the ability to selectively and independently power up and down different groups of optical amplifiers within the link. In an example embodiment, the optical link is implemented using an optical fiber cable having an electrical power line and arrays of optical amplifiers connected between successive optical fiber segments to form a plurality of disjoint groups of parallel optical paths between the ends of the optical fiber cable. The electrical power line is operable to selectively power, as a group, the optical amplifiers of at least some of the disjoint groups. In various embodiments, different optical paths can be implemented using different respective strands of a single-core optical fiber, different respective cores of a multi-core optical fiber, and/or different respective sets of spatial modes of a multimode optical fiber.
