Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for the processing and optimization of flight plans is disclosed. Information regarding a plurality of previous flight plans is received over a digital network and is stored in at least a database. The database preferably includes aviation fuel price information, aircraft performance information, and aviation weather information as well. Upon receiving a request, a server generates at least an optimized portion of a flight plan. In one form, historical flight plan data of others is automatically used to aid in the determination of the optimized route offered to the user for review, with the resulting final flight plan being electronically filed with the FAA upon approval. In a further form, the user may arrange fuel transactions at intermediate destinations with the service provider receiving a fee in exchange for facilitating the transaction.

Abstract: There is provided a method for selecting a tolerogenic peptide by selecting a peptide which is capable of binding to an MHC class I or II molecule without further processing. There is also provided a peptide selected by such a method and its use in a pharmaceutical composition and a method to treat and/or prevent a disease. The present invention also relates to a composition which comprises the following myelin basic protein (MBP) peptides: MBP 30-44; MBP 83-99; MBP 131-145; and MBP 140-154. The composition may be used to treat a disease, in particular multiple sclerosis and/or optical neuritis and the invention also relates to such uses and methods.

Abstract: A steer by wire system for a vehicle that employs a steering torque assist to allow the vehicle operator to more easily steer the vehicle in the event of a steer by wire system fault. The steer by wire system includes a sensor that generates a signal indicative of the position of and torque applied to the steering wheel that is received by a controller. From the position signal, the controller controls the steering of the vehicle by a steering motor. A feedback motor provides counter-torque to the rotation of the steering wheel to simulate the turning of the vehicle wheels. If the steer by wire system fails, a clutch engages a mechanical linkage to allow the vehicle operator to control the vehicle steering by the steering wheel. The controller provides a motor drive signal to the feedback motor to provide the torque assist when the mechanical linkage is engaged.

Abstract: The invention provides a selective system of placing a guide stock into a wellbore by braided line, coil tubing or drill pipe. The device facilitates selective intervention by providing a selective orientation key an angular relationship to the lateral through a system of selective keys and dogs allowing the diverter of the guide stock to be aligned at any desired angle with the orientation sub. The orientation sub includes a key for picking up on a helical slot in the packer to rotate the assembly and a set of selectively profiled dogs to engage a selected packer and halt downhole movement of the device.

Abstract: A storage shed system for storing hazardous waste materials includes a pair of water tanks that are spaced from each other. A housing has a front wall that is attached to and extends between a pair of side walls, a back wall, and a pair of arcuate walls that is attached to and extends between the back wall and the pair of side walls, defining an interior space having top and bottom surfaces. Each of the pair of arcuate walls has a shape that is complementary to a shape of the pair of water tanks. Each of the pair of arcuate walls thus contacts one of the pair of water tanks when the housing is positioned between the pair of water tanks. A doorway is positioned in the front wall. A door is movably coupled to the doorway.
