摘要: A data processing apparatus comprises a processing circuit and instruction decoder. A bitfield manipulation instruction controls the processing apparatus to generate at least one result data element from corresponding first and second source data elements. Each result data element includes a portion corresponding to a bitfield bf of the corresponding first source data element. Bits of the result data element that are more significant than the inserted bitfield have a prefix value that is selected, based on a control value specified by the instruction, as one of a first prefix value having a zero value, a second prefix value having the value of a portion of the corresponding second source data element, and a third prefix value corresponding to a sign extension of the bitfield of the first source data element.

摘要: A system and method of use including a controller responsive to a deviation in absolute value or relative slope and operable to terminate a discharge operation in an energy storage device is provided. The absolute value or relative slope is determined at sampling frequency based upon a combination of measured operating parameters, for example, potential and current. Any deviation in the absolute value or relative slope indicates that a threshold limit in the available energy of the system has been reached, for example when active materials in the device are at a point of depletion, indicating a need to cease the discharge operation. The system and method operate on a real-time basis, providing instantaneous SOH information with regard to the device.

摘要: A climbing device for a removable attachment to a column member, such as a tree, includes a body having a pair of spaced contact surfaces. The body also includes a pair of spaced and elongated retention apertures that are configured to receive a flexible retention member, such as a strap, therethrough. The retention member initially retains the climbing device to the column member, such that the contact surfaces are urged against the column member. In addition, the retention members are spaced apart such that their top portions are spaced further apart than their bottom portions. Thus, as the climbing body is forced downward along the column member, the distance between the spaced retention apertures increases, causing the circumferential distance traversed by the retention member to increase, thus drawing the retention member taut.

摘要: A moving image-type eye exercise software, Automated Variable Zoom Software or AVZS, incorporated via software into a computing device visual task utilizing a window (graphical control element) such as reading, writing, graphics, games, etc. The software incorporation method is stand-alone application, incorporated module, or plug-in software application. The moving image is the window itself. The movements are repeated cyclically and constitute oscillations in the three fundamental directions: perpendicular to display (virtual), horizontal, and vertical. The oscillations are governed by code that ensures constant clarity and visually smooth and subtle transitions. These oscillations occur automatically, upon enabling AVZS, whilst the user is actively engaged in the visual task; thus, the user is able to alleviate eye strain and/or strengthen eyes without further burdening the eyes and without dedicating otherwise additional time and effort just to perform eye exercise.

摘要: A method includes operating a computing device in a first power mode and a first operating state. The first operating state includes first operating state information stored in a volatile memory. The method includes receiving a first request to change the power mode from the first power mode to a second power mode. In response to receiving the first request, a sub-portion of the first operating state information that includes less than all of the first operating state information is stored in a non-volatile memory. The method includes receiving a second request to change the power mode from the second power mode to the first power mode. In response to receiving the second request, the computing device is restored to the first power mode, and is placed in a second operating state, by re-creating a portion of the first operating state information.

摘要: A method and system for scheduling commercial advertisement are described in which a data processing system having the spot scheduler solver may be operable to receive an advertiser's order to place advertisement or commercial spots into one or more commercial television breaks. The order may comprise various constraints and requirements corresponding to the spots. The spots may be assigned to inventory buckets within the commercial breaks based on the constraints and requirements. When a conflict arises, a prioritization scheme may be performed to complete the assignment of spots not assigned and to generate a commercial break schedule. The prioritization scheme may be based on spot arrival lead time or on maximizing the sum of the rates corresponding to the spots. The data processing system may maximize the spread of the spots over the commercial break schedule. The commercial break schedule may be adjusted when additional orders are received.
