    Abstract: A streamer discharge type lightening rod is disclosed, which is capable of generating lots of ions so that a certain object can be effectively protected from lightening in such a manner that an induction current is formed using ions in the air as thundercloud is formed, and ions having polarities corresponding to the ions in the air are greatly generated at a surface of the lightening rod, and a streamer by a corona discharge is increased at a surface of the thundercloud for thereby inducing lightening from a thundercloud as fast as lightening is naturally generated.

    Abstract: A method for controlling a portable personal device having facilities for storing and playing digital contents by a computer and an operation method of the portable personal device thereby are provided. The operation method of the portable personal device by control from a computer through a serial or parallel cable has the steps of (a) receiving a format request command from the computer for formatting an internal memory installed in the portable personal device or an external memory in an external memory card; (b) sending from the portable personal device a signal indicating that the portable personal device is ready to format to the computer; (c) receiving an execution command from the computer for executing the format request command received in the step (a); and (d) formatting the corresponding memory and then sending the result to the computer.

    Abstract: A network identifier position determination system and method. The network identifier position determination system includes a network identification module. When a terminal is connected to a network system through a wired/wireless network, the network identification module checks a network identifier that the terminal uses in order to be connected to the network system. A positioning module checks position information of a user corresponding to the terminal that is connected to the network system using the network identifier.
