摘要: The invention provides a mechanism for a transaction coordinator to indicate to a transaction participant that it supports a heuristic outcome, where a course of action has occurred which means that the transaction participant is unable to honor a transactional prior commitment to the transaction coordinator. The mechanism is such that a transaction participant that is incapable of communicating a heuristic outcome may ignore any such indication. A transaction participant may be incapable because it does not understand the concept of a heuristic outcome at all or because it does not have the ability to inform the transaction coordinator that a heuristic outcome has occurred.

摘要: A two part coating system comprises a first part comprising one or more aliphatic polyisocyanates, and a second part comprising one or more aromatic polyamines. In one group of embodiments, the second part comprises one or more aromatic polyamines, blended with one or more polyhydric alcohol compounds. In another group of embodiments, the polyhydric alcohol compounds are dispensed with and the required properties are achieved by selection of the type of polyisocyanate compound used and by close control of the proportions thereof. The coating system is suitable for application by spraying using equipment in which the two parts are first combined at the point of spraying, and may be applied to the internal surfaces of below-ground pipeline infrastructures, for example by means of a centrifugal spinning head assembly. In particular, the system may be used for the renovation of existing drinking water pipelines.

摘要: An amplification system and method is provided that employs a digital cross-cancellation technique which provides a separate digital signal to be input to a separate DAC to generate a cancellation signal. The cancellation signal is added to the output of the amplifier to produce a final signal with substantially reduced distortion and/or out-of-band emissions. The cancellation signal can be pre-computed or derived by generating an inverted version of the wanted signal, and combining it with a portion of the output signal to determine the error or unwanted portion of the output signal. This error signal is then combined with a delayed version of the output signal.

摘要: An amplifier system is provided that switches between a linear mode of operation, an envelope tracking mode of operation and a polar mode of operation. The amplifier system switches between modes of operation based upon a characteristic of an input signal relative to a first threshold level and a second threshold level. A mode selector selects the operation mode by transmitting an amplitude modulated signal plus a variable headroom voltage to a supply terminal of a power amplifier during the envelope tracking mode, an amplitude modulated signal to the supply terminal and phase modulated input signal during the polar mode and a substantially constant amplitude signal to the supply terminal during the linear mode.

摘要: An amplification system and method is provided that reduces peaks associated with an input signal, and provides correction, in one or more spectral bands, to signal distortion and out-of-band emissions that result from the peak reduction. The correction signal that removes signal distortion and OOB emissions associated with the peak reduction can be calculated or electronically derived. The correction signal can be combinded with the peak reduced signal prior to or after amplification of the peak reduced input signal.

摘要: An amplifier system for amplifying an input signal comprises first and second polar amplifier assemblies and a mode selector. The first polar amplifier assembly is operative to amplify the input signal to produce an amplified output signal for the system when the system is in a first mode. The second polar amplifier assembly is operative to amplify the input signal to produce the amplified output signal for the system when the system is in a second mode. A mode selector selects a mode of operation from at least the first and second modes for the amplifier system according to at least one characteristic of the input signal relative to at least one threshold parameter.

摘要: The present invention provides a method, apparatus, computer program product, and service which enables a transaction manager in a first system to co-ordinate database updates made in a second system database without requiring communication with the second system during transaction completion processing (commit or rollback) or any requirement for transaction logging or involvement in transaction recovery in the second system. This is achieved by carrying out the database updates in the second system in an XA transaction branch that is started are co-ordinated in the first system. Further this is done transparently to the application in the second server which makes the updates and enables the application in the first and second server to share locks such that both can access the same database.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed that employ a programmable analog-to-programmable digital converted system. A programmable analog-to-digital converter system comprises a quantizer assembly and configuration control. The quantizer assembly is configurable to provide at least one quantization stage. A given quantization stage converts an associated analog signal into an associated digital output signal. The configuration control selects among a plurality of configurations and configures the analog-to-digital converter system according to the selected configuration. The quantizer assembly is configurable to provide a plurality of quantization stages arranged in series in a first configuration, or to provide a single quantization stage in a second configuration.
